God of War 3 Looking Very Close To CG Teaser In Terms of Graphics

In the latest HotSpot podcast -from GameSpot- , numerous sources reported that "the level of realism as far as the graphics go in God of War 3" looks very close to the CG teaser. They actually said it is looking like Beowulf the movie. The discussion lasts 59 minutes.

I believe. FN3 has almost as good detail now in the face with pores and such.

But the game will be amazing anyway.

.. Wow. That would be amazing if true. But i'm not surprised seeing as how Killzone devs were getting advice from GoW3 devs for developing.

But how do they know this? Did they play it or something?

with how that game is styled i would believe it and be happy even if they made the game look 80% as good as that trailer, what i want is a much upgraded and next gen feel to the gameplay, please stick to the GOW roots but make it next gen, not just graphics-wise, we dont need another DMC4 or Ninjagaiden2 where they did nothing special with the gameplay.freediro

edit: it seems like everybody has forgotten how good Heavenly Sword looked. Damn i wish they would add Trophies to that game.

That's not true. Both DMC4 and NG2 added things to it's combat system that made the gameplay varied from their previous installments. DMC had the Devil Bringer with Nero, and the ability to switch styles on the fly with Dante which spawned a lot of cool combos in the process.

NG2's combat system the best though. I'm not saying that the game is better then the original, but the fighting system is superior. It's really sad that the game was rushed though because the game would have been really something else if it had the proper time to polish it. NG2's dismembering of body parts adds a whole new element to NG. And NG2 has the best selections of weapons to choose from out of any action adventure game that I have ever played.

With that said, I think God of War 3 will be a better overall game then both NG2 and DMC4. The main reason is because they aren't going to be rushed into getting it to the market. They'll have enough time to flesh out the game and give us something special. I hope they implement some Sixaxis controlls for the interactive cutscenes. That would be tight.

You really need to take a couple of Engrish courses.

"Very close" is very open to enterpretation. I don't think it will look so close that you could confuse any real-time graphics with the prerendered CG, even at a glance.

Man I can't wait for real footage.

I thought God of War had some good graphics as I played it on my HDTV and I thought it looked pretty good for a PS2 game. I am playing God of War 2 now and I honeslty don't think it looks as good as God of War. It looks like they changed the look of Kratos and the game seems to have more jaggies on my TV like most other PS2 games I have played on PS3.

GoW2 was good, but it isn't current-gen good. Unless you count games like Gun which are last gen ports anyways.
