GH:Metallica gamespot review:7.5

A GH song is 200pts. This would cost more if it were individual song downloads. And there's only like 6 meh songs. And there's over 20 songs by the likes of King Diamond/Mercyful Fate, Samhain, CoC, Machine Head, Mastodon, Foo Fighters, System of a Down, The Sword, Slayer, Motorhead, Queen, and more.

It's around 60 songs. $60 is a fair price for such a great collection of classic Metallica, plus multiple other great tracks from fantastic bands.

It's got Machine Head in so it should automatically be AAAA. Massive Review of Fail :P

I can't stand these types of games but even I'm tempted with that track list. Fight Fire with Fire and Dyers Eve arouse me immensely 8)

I just checked and there's only one song from St. Anger. It's "Frantic" and it's one of the meh songs I mentioned. Blah!

Not sure. I hated the whole St. Anger album, tbqh. I didn't like one track on it. I remember I had a fight with someone late at night when we were getting snacks from Wal-Mart, and I threw the St. Anger cd out of my car because I was mad. I thank that person for bringing so much crap into my life, because it let me throw it all away, including that awful Metallica album. Yuck, yuck, yuck!

I remember picking up the Samhain box set when I was in high school. Everyone listened to the Misfits and wore the crimson skull shirts - most wore the shirts for style - to be cool, ya know? Anyways, no one knew who Samhain was. :( The crappy thing about the box set is that all the discs came in crappy cardboard sleeves. :( I always preferred Danzig's stuff in Samhain and Danzig more than the Misfits for some reason, though.

Not really. There's enough songs included, not to mention multiple extras, to command a $60 price. It'd be more offered as DLC, because each song goes for 200pts.

but it's barely more than half the songs of a full game.

Metallica is awesome, I have seen them live.

And I would have thought it would have gotten an 8 but sooner or later people will get tired of what is literally the same damn game with different songs.

Guess the formula is getting stale to be scoring 9s or 8s and this is like a song pack really, but if you love GH and Metallica this is worth it.

Sort of, but not entirely. The sports games released every year are tweaks, GH: Metallica gives you an awesome tracklist and extras (provided you like that kind of music).

Although, i might get this game when it is under AU$70

This is easily the best produced GH, but you haven't played it, like you just said, so yeah, I actually know that.

As much as I like Metallica (their older and newest songs, anyways...none of the stuff in between), the novelty and overall FUN of the GH games has been squished like so many cockroaches by your bare foot on your way to the bathroom at three in the morning.

I own this game love it. Its better then any Rockband or Guitar Hero. The reason I say this is because I am a huge Metallica fan so I could care less what the score is or what other people think of this game. I feel this game was made for me because I love it.
