Haven't played Uncharted yet. Gears was good, but looking back it was overrated. Uncharted is probably underrated slightly. Naughty Dog games are always a lot of fun anyway.
I think both of these games suck. But I voted for Gears becuase Uncharted is just stupid. In reality Gears is a decent game, I just personally hate the way it feels.
Uncharted had a great SP, but Gears was pretty damn fun all around albeit a very short SP. I like em both for different & similar reasons and couldn't really say I'd choose one over the other.
Thats a tough call, ive played and beat both. All in all i think maybe it took about the same time to beat both too, I deffinetly liked uncharted's story better, but after you beat it...its kind of worthless, where as i still pick up gears for the replay value of MP.

After having played Gears on the PC, I thought "oh my God, this game is over rated!". I had much more fun with Uncharted. Drake just moves better and smoother, and they both pretty much have the same gameplay style. It's just that the A.I. in Uncharted is alot smarter than Gears. Uncharted for me.
Gears get's knocked for its story but Uncharted's is extremely boring so that's a wash. The weapons are a lot better in Gears, the grenade throwing is better, and the feeling of intensity is much better. Both games have terrible vehicle sequences...the jet ski in Uncharted and the Light Cannon APC scene in Gears. But then Gears also has co-op and vs mulitplayer. The crap platforming sequences in Uncharted don't nearly make up for that and the puzzles are fed to you like you are a baby bird.
There is a reason Gears got a 9.6 here. It's one of the best games if not the best game so far this generation.Sparky04
1 of the best games at the time. its got a lot of extra points for coming out early(xbox first year). before gears there wasn't anytrhing to play on 360 besides cod 2. I think cod2 was the most played 360 game before gears.

Uncharted had better level design, better sp, better music, and better graphics. Gears of war had online, and marcus fenix was much more bad ass then nathan drake.

Yeah I played it and beat it. If you think the platform scenes were good then I doubt you played it.

Though i'm a cow, I have to say GeoW. It was an amazing shooter. Uncharted has an extremely similar cover system, which is slightly better than gears's.
I thought Uncharted was good,but it can't touch Gears. Gears was so awesome when I got it at first, and Uncharted waseye-popping in the graphicsdepartment, but kinda meh when I played it.

I voted uncharted, although im only half way through it i find the story and characters enjoyable and the gameplay to be awsome. Gears was great too but i just found its story lacking.

Uncharted's singleplayer is much, much better than Gears of War. The cover works well just like Gears of War's cover, the enemy A.I. is smart and comes in huge numbers, and the storyline is amazing. However, I'll give a nod to Gears of War since it has fun multiplayer but seeing that I'm more of a singleplayer kind of guy, Uncharted is better imo.
The single player in Uncharted cannot be touched by Gears of War not even with a 100 feet pole(exaggeration). Uncharted just offers a superior single player experience than Gears of War. Now, when talking about multiplayer obviously Gears of War wins by default because Uncharted is not a multiplayer game.
