Gaming Industry Superstars.

With the recent lawsuit by Silicon Knights against Epic, I started thinking about what this industry has come to. Is it me or does Epic & Cliffy B. seem to have become cocky lately? I've noticed the same from David Jaffe as well.I know that they've sold millions of copies of Gears, but Miyamoto has sold millions of copies of Zelda and he seems just as genuine as he was from day one.

Is there a place in this industry for these kinds of leaders, or is it better left to major league sports? I respect their work, but as individuals, they leave something to be desired.

Switch Itagaki for David Doak or someone.

Why is Itagaki on there? Yeah he made NG but noone has respect for that guy in the industry, so many sexual harrassment suits and he spends time developing boob physics. He also openly bashed other companies, people and games. NG is amazing though.Riviera_Phantom

That's kind of the way I see it. It's to the point where the only devs I can trust are Miyamoto, Kojima, Will Wright, Sid Meir, the guys at Bioware, Bethesdaand John Carmack. Everyone else just seems to be full of hot air.rhaigun

Well, yeah, Wright, Meier, Carmack, and a boatload of other guys (I've always been sort of a Warren Spector fanboy myself) are quite respectable, and I usually sit straight and listen when they speak. I just wanted to limit myself to the options on the poll before I made a review of every somewhat known name in the industry :P

I would have voted Miyamoto, but i lost some respect for the dude after a while, from all the spin off's and stuff and the New MII's and wii fit got me to think that hes not so original, even though he has created some of the greatest titles hes turning a little bit diffrent, i would have voted David Jaffe too for creating some of my favs like Twisted Metal and GOD (KRATOS!!), But i just went with Kojima becuase the dude is a genoius he created a game which IMO almost no other game can beat its story and one of the most badA** ccharacters of all time, also one of the Innovatives gameplays as well, IT was Metal Gear...lol

You do know that just about every game Miyamoto has ever worked on gets AA or above, right? And he's worked on plenty(probably 100+) games.
