I have a feeling this ain't going to end well, like the best hero one.
Really, Gordon Freeman has no character and won because of fanboys.

Isn't that how every popular vote ends. Because that's what it was. Popularity. Ironic.Gordon Freeman lacks all characterising elements of a good character. All he does is say nothing and fallows everyonesorders. As in he is a Tool.
People voted for G F because the Half life fanboys blindly voted for him because they love Half-life, and wanted a Half-life character to win.
Saying Gordan Freeman is the best video game character, is like saying a blank stack of papers is the best book ever.
Though if the same fanboys win, I could very well stomach Glados. She has good(well evil)characteristic elements.
Again *POPULARITY CONTEST*It's a popular vote, that's what a polling conest like this is supposed to be.
You know Democratic.
You think NINTENDO fanboys voted for Mario and Link because they were such strong characters. **** no, it's a popularity contest.
Hell, Gordon Freeman isn't even a proper character, he is a narrative device by design he won out of popularity.
Gordon Freeman is more popular amoungst people who voted in this pretty large poll.
That's a fact.
Why people are still wound up over a popularity contest is beyond me; it's a simple fact that popularity does not automatically equate to best, and it's also very well known there were better characters who didn't win.
Because Manny is never going to be as popular as Mario. Simple.
