Glados being number 1 is kinda neat I suppose.

Geralt isn't on there. List fails.

It looks like a "which character is most popular list" but then again, some of them don't add up for that.

So it's just a fail list.

Then again, I don't know what Decade they're talking about.

I'll give them Jade from BGE. Can't say much about the rest.

EDIT: Oh, and probably Price, even though the only COD game I played is Modern Warfare.

Wow that list is all over the place... I don't agree with Glados being number 1 but whatever. Nathan Drake is number 3 and thats still great. Also glad to see Phoenix Wright on there representing my favorite DS series.

Literally the worste list Ive ever seen.

I dont think anything other than master cheif, shepard, cratos, and andrew ryan really fit on that list.. I mean ethan mars?.. how did he define anything.. And john marston from RDR cant be on there because thats from this decade not the last one.. 2000-2010 is 11 years..

Auron is on the list. That's a win in my book.

I'm just going to say that it is a terrible list. How did Elena Fisher or Bonnie MacFarlane define this decade? They were secondary characters in two fantastic games yet they aren't what I'd figure as "decade defining." People are entitled to their opinions but how in the world did they come to those conclusions? :? I'm sure there are so many other characters more deserving of being on there than some of those.

Regardless, I am happy to see Kaim Argonar on there. But the list just baffles me.

huh, Well then I guess they have a point there. Kids these days don't just grow up with Mario and the rest of the Nintendo gang.

GameInformer has always been one of the worst magazines. That list is awful. Not one WOW character and that game is pretty much the game of the decade. How someone from RDR beat Master Chief is beyond me. When I think Master Cheif I think xbox or xbox 360 which has been around for the better part of the decade. I don't thinkof anything but boring western setting when I think of RDR...................

Just stupid.

Defined the decade in what way? I like the inclusion of Alyx but where is Max Payne? Seems more like most popular characters of the decade than anything else. biggest_loser

3. Nathan Drake (Uncharted)=dude, it's Nathan Drake, poster boy of the ps3, 'nuff said.
4. Master Chief (Halo)=Poster boy of the xbox brand.
5. Niko Bellic (Grand Theft Auto 4)=the first "sane"and "human" gta main character.
6. Alyx Vance (Half Life 2)=most charismatic npc in a fps
7. Kratos (God of War)=......It's Kratos, many god why contest this
8. Andrew Ryan (BioShock)=this man steal the scene of the one's he's not even in.
9. Loghain Mac Tir (Dragon Age Origins)= one of the most complex villains in years.
10. Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin's Creed 2)=mr.smooth assassin done right.
11. Ethan Mars (Heavy Rain)=never played
12. Commander Shepard (Mass Effect)=Commander Shepard can punch a mountain into outer space.
13. Captain Price (Call of Duty)=poster boy of CoD
14. Jimmy Hopkins (Bully)=..........Whyis he here....Oh ya, He made Jack Tomson look crazy......ok, crazier in front of a judge.

19. The Boss (Metal Gear Solid 3)=......If youhavenot seen the ending of mgs3 you will never understand. If you do beat mgs3, you should not contest this character
20. Tim (Braid)=made being a crazy stoker cool.....and crazier.
21. Auron (Final Fantasy X)=best ff character of the decade....and that's a sad thing for SE.
22. Razputin Aquato (Psychonauts)=TIM SCHAFER.......MAKE THE GOD DAMN SEQUEL!!!!!
23. Kaim Argonar (Lost Odyssey)=This man has the deepest perspective on humanity ever.
24. Jade (Beyond Good and Evil)=....never played.
25. KOS-MOS (Xenosaga)=.....was not that good.

There's no way that barely fleshed out (if at all!) are any better than characters with full campaigns. Have you played Crysis or Crysis:Warhead? Psycho was amazing. Also, it just said characters. Sackboy is easily as lovable as Master Chief, considering each talks just about as much as Gordon Freeman from Half Life. They're both icons, but it doesn't make them bad characters.

I know, he debuted in Metal Gear. Well, since that excludes Solid (and OLD) Snake, what about Ocelot or Liquid Ocelot? They're more decade defining than, say, Elena from Uncharted. Even Harry Flinn from UC2 was better than Elena.

ITT: People hating this list because it doesn't contain characters from their favorite niche, incredibly obscure video game.

thats still a god awful list, master chief should be in the top 3, glados should not be nr.1 but close. But then again, i dont know the criteria, why they put those there.
