The game is very easy to run, there would be literally no difference between an Xbox/PS version, Even the switch version is playable enough.

All I can say is that they better keep their community closed off indefinitely. If a situation in the future arises where MS and Nintendo are on equal footing or better Sony better keep their stance and block cross play. MS had reasons other than money and sales to deny cross play last gen. Sony doesn't.

All games are superior on PS4. Biggest online communities. PSN has been more stable than XBL this gen. Superior UI and controller. And free to play games don't require PS Plus.

I understand the shock value that my statement holds. I merely put it out there as a reply to his comment. It's impossible to have any kind of discussion when some people post anything they want as fact.

It's far from true. PSN has got a lot better this gen, but that's not saying much....it was down 3 times this month. All serious studies show xbl is faster and more stable.

@Ant_17: during the ps3/Xbox 360 era it was a well known fact that Xbox live required a subscription but people put up with it because of the better servers and security. PSN, for being free had okay servers, but it had MANY security breaches during that time (they have vastly improved since starting PS+). At the time it would have been a disservice to Xbox live subscribers to open up their network to another one where the multiplayer was free as well as opening Xbox live to the possible security breaches that came with PSN.

As far as OG Xbox I never had it. I had a PS2 for which online was basically nonexistent, it was the reason I decided get a 360 before a PS3.

Correction then, it doesn't effect me anymore because I made a new Fortnite account when I couldn't use my existing account on my switch since i linked it to PS4 and effectively stopped playing on there. It does, however, matter to me because i feel as if Sony is holding my account and content hostage. I understand keeping my account from being used on Xbox but the Switch as well, really? Why can't i simply unlink PSN and then link Xbox or switch? no, because Sony wants that fortnite microtransaction money.

Yes, I made a new Epic Account when Fortnite came out on Switch and all the content is shared now between everything except PS4 because i will never link it.. I was aware i couldn't play with the account that was linked to PS4 on Xbox, i was content with having my account between PS4 and PC before it was announced for Switch, i got mad when i was locked out of switch because i really wanted to take that account and content on the go. Now i play it (and get the battle pass) on my new account which i have only linked to PC, switch, and now Xbox since i have the option. I don't get the battle pass on my PS4 epic account anymore and i barely play it on PS4 now because of it, occasionally i'll play on PS4 with some of my buddies but other then that i'd rather progress my other account that i can take on the go on my switch.

Then what's your gripe?

Nothing atm honestly, personal grudge really. I'm just trying to point out that MS is a hypocrite for denying crossplay/progression last gen and now asking for it, it didn't effect me back then because i never even imagined cross progression would be a thing so I didn't care for it. Now sony is gonna block cross progression, something that we should all want, i don't even care about cross play. i want them to stick to it if somehow they end up on the opposite end in the future like MS is now. I don't want Sony to propose it when they are being so public about not wanting it right now. I guess the difference is that there is more media coverage about this now then there was back then.
