What does Home offer:
Social interaction
Low intensity environment
Simple games (pool table, bowling ally, arcade machines)
Interact with the environment (sit on furniture) (move interactive items)
Sony partners will be able to buy prominent space in the game

I have seen the future,
And it sucks!!!!!!

Virtually all of this is available now.
Go and download second life (its free, no malware, low system spec required) you only have to pay if you want to own land or some other advanced features.

After an hour it dawns on you that
1) If you are actually interested in watching videos, music, chatting with friends, or playing games, this nothing but a clunky interface for existing technology.

2) It is full of people you don’t want to talk to:
Furies, Goths, Emo, random freaks.
Even if you feel you are a member of one of the above groups you will soon be board of how they ramble on about how society doesn’t under stand them.

There has been talk that Sony has been in development for Home for three years. Nonsense, why does it have so many similar features to second life.
It looks like Sony simply read an article in Wired about SL making money and thought “gee we want some of that”.

Seriously before you flame me, go and play Second Life for an hour. It offers all of what PS home will offer when it is released and most of what Sony promise will appear later on. It’s available now and it sucks.
