This. I bought Saints Row 2 just because I saw this. And it sucks.Looks really fun and the graphics aren't miserable this time around.

As cool as it looked, I can see that getting boring for me pretty fast. Same happened with 2. I enjoyed SR 1, but when I got two, the activities were just all flash and no substance.
Also as crazy as it sounds, I liked the sterile atmosphere of SR 1 more as well.
Just finished the story in Saints Row 2 last week. The game was pretty glitchy. If they can fix the gltiches in Saints Row 3 I will definitely pick it up. Graphics look awesome and the gameplay looks as fun as ever.
wow that game is a buy on day one ,lol now is there multi player?
rooktook
there is drop-in drop-out co-op. and yes, it is for the whole single-palyer campaign. that means anyone can join you (or you can join them) in their story playthrough any time. hot damn.
SR2 is a horrible bug ridden piece of crap, I think i'll wait till this is $5 on Steam. Heil68You shouldn't have got the PC version of SR2.

There's mods for Saints Row? Where in the world have I been?
Dude.... I stopped after seeing the **** bat and the giant fist the turns people into an explosion of red mist with one hit..... who the hell could not want this game after seeing such shenanigans? This game's been at the top of my list for a while, and now I don't think anything else can top it. :D
Looks like there's a lot of content, but the physics are nowhere near GTA IV standard. The physics are what makes or brakes sandboxes to me. I'd probably be bored with this after 5-8 hours like I did JC2 so I'm gonna pass on this one, or at least wait for the reviews to come in. I might still pick it up if there's a decent storymode with likeable characters, but I doubt it since it's Saint's Row (the series isn't exactly known for its decent writing).
If they had concentrated more on creating a proper physics engine and less on wrestling take-down animations (isn't wrestling for 10 year olds anyway? This is an 18 certificate game), who knows, this game might have been the big one.
What are you talking about? GTA4's physics were horrible and a part of the reason the game sucked. Also the wrestling is cool, because Saint's Row is crazy like that. It's a game that's not taking it's self too seriously. GTA4 took itself too seriously, and.... it sucked. :PLooks like there's a lot of content, but the physics are nowhere near GTA IV standard. Wow, looks great, I'm kinda over that messing around in sandbox games thing by now, been since GTA3 really, but it looks really good regardless.ManicAce
I've been over it for a long time, which is why I have a better opinion of GTAIV than most people on this site. It's sandbox didn't have as much to do and I really didn't care. I played that game for the atmosphere, the stunning recreation of NYC, the story missions and the story itself. That being said, the way the game handled money story-wise and gameplay-wise was pretty terrible.
GTA IV did not have a good story, by any decent standard. Physics were nice though. Anyway gameplay is what makes or brakes a GTA-esque game for me, so I think I'll like SR3, considering I loved SR2 inspite of all the bugs and crappy graphics.

QFT!
The console version were still glilchy, but not as bad, and most importantly, in terms of FUN factor, SR 2 beats the pants off of GTA IV and sends Niko into a brownish hell frozen wasteland where realism ruins everything hell that he belongs too! I put in over 600 hours into SR 2 since I got it in 2008. GTA IV.....Only 30......

As someone else said about GTA IV and its "Gritty Realism", if you want gritty, go join the army, if you want realism, go out side. In my game, I WANT to be able to take a turn at 100 MPH and not crash, I want to go "teh people's elbow" on a random pedestrian and get away with it. I want to go out naked and flash people and they cheer me. Take those away from me, I will not buy your game! And that's the biggest problem with GTA IV! The so called "Gritty Realism" clashed so badly with what "GTA" is all about that it just make you wince!
Wow the game actually look really fun. For a 7 years old...
I understand they're trying to get away from "realism" and focusing on over the top actions and activities, but it tries way too hard. Most of the things are extremely dumb and childish. Though I must accept that the VTOL looks nice, but for how long can you destroy stuff before it gets boring?

I's story had some huge problems and was victim of sloppy storytelling, but I think it was good for a videogame, and this is reflected in reviews.

....Cause 7 year olds beat each other with a giant male genetelia shaped object.
Clowning around and causing mayhem got old real guick in all the GTA games, atleast GTA had a story.
SR3 looks like fun with cool moves etc. but im thinking it gets old fast too.

I'm curious, we're you ever exposed to a male genetelia shaped object when you were 7 years old?

Did you miss E3 gameplay? That's not the first.

From E3, 12 minute gameplay. Anyway, looks good man, first day purchase for me.

If you want to drive, go out and drive a car. If you want a realistic driving game, go buy Gran Turismo or Forza. If you want realistic driving, realistic physics and realistic everything in a sandbox game? Get out! Go outside and experience "GRITTY REALISM" in all its real life glory and leave my sand box alone. We don't need any of that stuff here!
as a GTA only fan, Saint's Row The Third looks crazy...
but I'm getting GTA V... I'm sure SR3 will be fun but I prefer the down-to-earth mob-movie parody/satire that is: Grand Theft Auto.
