Final Fantasy XV developer praises Xenoblade X

Touché to the people at Monolith Soft; that is one awesome trailer!

The exploration aspect of this game looks incredible. I’m hoping that we can actually traverse to all visible landscape in realtime. Would like to get near that sandworm and see what happens!

Some of you can already tell that there are different approaches in both our direction, especially when you compare this and FFXV trailers, but admittedly that’s some intense competition right there! And we all love healthy competition don’t we? Coz in the end, the fans win!

There’s no clause in my contract that states that I can’t love a game made by another company, so I’m gonna be all out and say that I just can’t freaking wait to play this game! I loved the world in Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii, and I’ll be getting a Wii U just for this game.

Yes, I love my JRPGs :P

Hope it is fun, i never finished Xenoblade chronicles on Wii i got distracted by other games and never turned back. Hope this game is free from boring miniquests

Those environments are damn impressive, I'd love to see what they could pull off if they weren't limited by the WiiU hardware.

Sure beats the J-Pop Grease pleasure cruise from FFXV.

Every time I see an article about Xenoblade Chronicles X, I get very tempted to buy a Wii U...

Waiting impatiently already....though I expect Nintendo to be an arse about it.. & will be release some months after E3. :P

Even if you don't like Xenoblade, maybe all the critical praise it got lit a fire on Sqaure-Enix.

I couldn't really get into the first xenoblade and I doubt I'll care much about the second one, but it does look very promising. FFXV all the way for me

I played Xenoblade on Dolphin for like an hour and that game is so boring man I didn't play it again. But I should know better after playing Xenosaga... Xenogears was just a fluke. A masterpiece that never reach its maximum potential because of the publisher. Damn you Square!

Xenoblade X on the other is looking like more of the same only bigger.

If that is referring to Xenoblade Chronicles then I hope it is more of the same, considering Xenoblade was the best JRPG and arguably the best RPG in general last generation.

Spend 110 glorious hours in Xenoblade Chronicles, loved every minute of it. Good on that guy from SE, good to hear he will buy a WiiU to play the Xenoblade.

Man.. I'm so close to buying a Wii U just for this game.. I just need that extra push.. I don't know. It's Nintendo, I just dislike the company as a whole, they're so out of touch with gamers and outdated in their methods.

You should throw the PS4/Xbone in there too, because that kind of creativity deserves to be on PC.

I think we already saw what happens to RPG when you are only focused on polishing up the environments.... look at FF13. Love the game and all, but you can not deny it is bare bones as far as RPGs. Devs have been quoted saying its difficult to develop content when you spend all day polishing rocks.

The FFXV lead game designer mentioned in the OP, Wan Hazmer, joined Square Enix in 2010, and he's not Japanese (he's Malaysian), so it's not too surprising that he doesn't feel much loyalty for his company.

As they should. Hope FF XV turns out to be great.

IMO The best parts of xenoblade combat and the world lore. Worst part characters and story. I soly kept playing cause I liked the combat and I wanted to know how the world was made.

well wouldint be SW without it. Im going to pick up both. Well xenoblade x whenever I feel like getting a wiiu.

lol after slaving away on that 1 button game known as FFXV I can see why he would want to get with a real RPG. Good on him for recognizing the greatness.

I'm pumped for this in a way I haven't been for an RPG in a long time. I just hope the writers stop making up dumb words like "Ganado."
