Probably one of the fastest time ever for any game

Meh, not impressed. He's just using in game glitches to completely tear apart the game.
True, but he still managed it
Impressive, he can stomach that game for 24 minutes.
@wolverine4262 Hi.
its too far ahead of your feeble little brain. go back to playing angry birds.
I don't understand how people brag about glitching.
I mean when I started up Mario Brothers 2 on my old NES it went to the dream scene, does that mean I hold a world record? No, it means one day my dog tripped over my cords and something broke.

isn't that what you're supposed to do in Bethesda games?
No, we're not talking about Obsidian here.

Not even close.
Morrowind (00:04:19)
Portal (00:09:12)
And you if dislike your pants, you can shit a brick to this: Super Metroid 100% (00:48:00)
The last one isn't short by speed run standards (i.e. it's almost an hour) but when you consider what has to be overcome in the game (meaning you are at least familiar with how it progresses, and takes the normal first timer a good 15-20 hours) this is just a pure work of speed running art.

FO3 is hands down far buggier than New Vegas. Hell, I've fallen through the ground in Fallout 3 so many times I've lost count.
What a boring game
I just re-played New Vegas and Fallout 3, in that order, and was reminded of how much more I liked FO:NV than FO3
Fallout 3 also had my favorite random encounter. There I was, walking the ruins of DC, and BAM! - a flying saucer blows up 50 feet away. I go inspect the spot, and there is an alien blaster.
Since I didn't read any guides or wikis, it was quite the surprise!

Finally someone with some sense.
Well, New Vegas is a far superior game in every way. You two have excellent taste in games.

that's what most speedrunners do. I always wondered how people could beat Super Metroid in like 20 minutes but all they did was glitch the game with laser vision and then all of a sudden you're at the end of the game and the credits start rolling. The same with Dark Souls, Ocarina of Time, etc.

There are two major types of speed runs, legit runs done "by hand", and "aided" runs with the use of trainers and related programs/editors. The former type is beating the game in the fastest times on it's own terms (which includes glitches). The latter is breaking into the game's code and plowing through each area as fast as technically possible.
Super Metroid is a very special case, as it has a plethora of game-improving glitches like the Mochball. They make things like early access to the Super Missile a real possibility. There is a glitch that breaks a game (and makes it unplayable), then there are things in Super Metroid or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night that take incredible skill to achieve.
Since I got into speed running, I've only ever seen whining like this as pure jealousy at being unable to do these things. The gate glitch in Lower Norfair is one I can never do (not sure what I'm doing wrong), so I always have to get the Screw Attack, so my times never break into the 40 minute zone. Just practice, practice, practice. I spent a good three hours learning how to do the Mochball.
Mmm... those were good times. Makes me want to go through all the Metroid games.

I enjoyed FO3 the first time around when it released. Now? Not so much.
Loved New Vegas, but hated the "Dead Money" DLC.

Is your dog ok?
I don't know why people say FO3 is buggy, i never had any problems besides my PS3 freezing a couple of times. Same with New Vegas.
Did you buy them on release day?
