This is a pretty big deal. Bravo Xbox team!!!
Xbox isn't trying to be the Netflix of gaming. They're trying to be Disney!
It's an interesting move. Let's see how it play out.
Xbox is dominating Playstation recently. I am enjoying the MS comeback and seeing them gain some ground with gamers, everyone likes the underdog. This is a big win for the casuals, cheaper next gen and games like Fifa and Battlefield included in their gamepass subs, which is catering for like a huge percentage of gamers. I am interested to see how sony reacts to MS moves.
Game Pass Ultimate is a great deal. Anyone denying this is a serious fanboy. All MS first party, some good third party games, and now EA Play. Damn MS seriously wants people on this service.
Woah, EA is the devil until they put their games on Gamepass lol.
Not really. EA has been doing okay lately with good games like Jedi Fallen Order and soon to be Squadrons. Its EA Sports that's the problem and EA Sports is the true devil in this.

EA Sports basically the same game every year with players in different uniforms with maybe a new feature every few years
I think the last NHL game I bought was 18

I wouldn't be surprise if MS tries to pull a Mulan hidden fee under GP. I been satisfied with GP & Disney+ so hey, I'm cool with adding EA Play. I'll probably end up cancelling my EA Origin Premier if the games on it are right.
@regnaston: I never play a Madden game in my life but than again, I don't like sport games at all. "Extreme Sports" like those of Tony Hawks are okay and I can get into that type of genre. There's only so much you can do to innovate sport games, its why they can get away with little to no changes.
Oh wow! Microsoft dropping some nukes. Not really into a lot of sports games but I do enjoy hockey and golf. Then you got some of the other stuff from BioWare and Respawn that I very much enjoy and this is really becoming a more and more compelling prospect to me. Microsoft is doing a fantastic job tempting me into getting this service.

yeah true.. I play the occasional hockey game, I dont do sports much either
Yay now we can play great hits such as Anthem, Andromeda and Battlefront 2 on game pass!
Seriously EA's games suck ass.
I'm surprised. Trying to think if I should give a damn - I guess I wanted to play Jedi Fallen Order. But anything that increases the value of Gamepass is a plus for me.
These 3 alone are enough for me
@BenjaminBanklin: There were no price hikes for gamepass ultimate. They just removed a 12 month subscription option for live.
Isn't it subscription based? EA play? I see its subscription based (Monthly/Yearly) on both my Steam and Game Pass a/c's.
That is an insane deal, especially going into a console launch.
There are a lot Fifa players out there that will jump on game pass
It wont include the most recent sports games. For current year sports games you get 10 hours of free play but for last year's they are included in the free games (unless EA changes that)
Gamepass has been killing it lately.
this just adds to the value even further. MS must have just rolled up to EA's HQ with a couple dump trucks full of money.
For the moment, any EA games that interested me I already own. however, going forward this will certainly be a benefit and I'll probably check out Squadrons which I might have otherwise missed.
@kuu2: If MS is superior, why can't they ever outsell Sony? I'm guessing sales don't matter unless MS is in the forefront. Most people disagree with you.
Before the announcement: EA is a garbage company!! Madden sucks!! They ruined Star Wars!!
After announcement: Ohhh shit!! Amazing!!!
lol, but congrats MS.
That's actually really cool and another reason to buy an Xbox. Trying to downplay this is hilarious as long as the price doesn't go up too much overall.
Is this a one year deal kind of thing or an entirety of the console deal? (if they even said anything about that)
Nice. I had a friend who had an itch to play a football game and then saw last two Madden games sucked but the older ones were removed from store for purchase, but he didn't want to do EA Access. He has Game Pass so I guess he gets it anyways now, he'll be happy.
I bought some of what is on here already, but never did get to try any NFS games, I now might give those a try.

My wife was so pissed when she found out you had to pay an extra $30 to see Mulan.
@Sagemode87: So what youre saying is, if, for example, ferrari sold 1000 sports cars, but 50000 minis were sold..... that means the mini is superior, because it sold more?
Or say you have a favourite rock band but justin beiber sells 5 times more concert tickets.... that must mean justin beiber is superior right?
superiority can never be judged by sales
@jeezers: youve hit on gamepass best feature.... you can try games first without forking out $60. Also, many people who dont like EA can try a game, and not get mad that they paid $60 for a game riddled with micro transactions. When you dont give a company $60 for ripping you off, it never feels as bad.... because hey, theres still dozens more games to play or try on gamepass.... also if you really want one game on gp.... pay for a month, play the hell out of it... its cos a lot less
I'm hearing Mulan sucks?
It's a typical Disney movie: tons of action and cool action scenes. But think about the story or characters for too long and you'll get a headache on how shallow it all is.
It's a movie that's been made to see in theatres... that they are now selling for 30 bucks to watch at home.
