Fromsoft hasn't yet topped the combat of Bloodborne.

To me, the combat is the entire focus of fromsoft games, so I'd like to see them get back to the quicker pace and more creative weapons that game had. So if they do a new IP, I'd want them to shake things up again in that respect.

Elden ring just felt like souls on a bigger map. It felt like something I've been playing for years already. So I lost interest.

Rather see what FROM comes up with next. It's well known that they don't like to make sequels. I want to see whatever FROM wants to show me.

Definitely looking forward to the dlc that they bring out for Elden Ring.

Given the sheer size/length of Elden Ring, I'd say one game is enough. It feels like a culmination of all of From Software's previous (Dark Souls) games. So I'd rather they work on something entirely different next.

Exactly what I'm thinking. FromSoftware excels at refining their style after each iteration. We don't need direct sequels. But I would certainly welcome some Elden Ring DLC with in the next 1 or 2.

Considering how many copies the game has sold, there's no way that we aren't gonna see a dlc or two.

No. I'm bored with Dark Souls. Really liked Elden Ring, but it overstayed its welcome. Probably wont buy any DLC for it either, if that ever comes.

No, I don't know why I keep buying these games. It's torture to beat them and they are really not fun despite the awesomeness of the combat.

not right now tbh. but it's probably a bad time to ask. i've had my fill of elden ring for the foreseeable, after around 100 hours it's left me battered, bruised and slightly broken.

i will now retreat to the sanctum and safety of demon's souls to lick my wounds and bask in the beautiful graphics and the simplicity of lovely short linear levels with painless inventory management and effortless combat

For a game that reviewed and is liked so well there is not much love for a 2nd here in this official poll.

BTW, there's going to be a sequel. A game that sells this well, and scored this high, will have a sequel.

I mean, we don't need one any time soon, but I absolutely would buy a sequel day 1 whenever it may come, so by definition, my answer is yes.

No. Just because a game is good doesn’t mean it needs a direct sequel. That’s what can make the industry stale and stagnant. Same thing with Bloodborne.

And even Zelda BotW 2. I’d rather have a brand new Legend of Zelda game instead of a rehashed sequel. Preferably on more powerful hardware to enhance the overall experience.

Better armor variety. Ones in Elden Ring look meh to me. Fashion souls ftw. I was rocking confessor armor for like 30+ hours.

Too many giant bosses. They suck! Broken hit-boxes, they screw up the camera, and they typically have the same ol tired move sets like stomps and jumping in the air to slam down. Boring!

Some of the quests are a little too obtuse. A tiny bit more direction would be good.

I feel status effects like bloodloss, scarlet rot and poison work a little too good. They need to tone that down a bit.

If they can fix those things in the sequel and it will be more than good.

Let's not rush it tho. I only just finished my first play through of ER and have so much more to learn about the lore.

Is there really a need for a sequel for a game that has an ending? It would be better to have new games released instead of sequels.

If we had a choice between a brand new ip in an open world as big as this one, and it would take them five years to build or a standard dks1 style game that takes em two years to develop, i'll gladly take dks1 style game. I don't want the painful wait of ER again.

No.....it is amazing game but i want to see a new fromsoftware souls game in ancient Egypt.

Egypt have great mythology and mythology creatures...........imagine a souls game in ancient egypt pyramids,sands mountains deep pyramids caves and Mummies.It is time for a new world to explore......and mythology.
