I'm cool with it. I generally like male protagonist more because they tend to be more badass imo, and because I'ma dude. but, I do not a mind a good badass female protagonist. Plus, they can be fun to look at, but that's not that important to me.
I do, however, hate it when it's obvious a developer is making a female protagonist to suite the whole SJW agenda.
Many east Asian MMOs has excellent female 3D models including chest physics and that's without being SJW.
Mass Effect Andromeda's female character models are crap.
I have noticed that. Xenoblade Chronicles 2, DOA and others follow that. Japanese developers generally just don't seem to give a damn about SJW BS. Sony being one of the few.
Now, I don't have a problem with female character models being on the less busty side at all- But I do have a problem when it's obvious a developer is making them that way just to satisfy SJWs. Like, for real, the whole idea of censoring a female character's breast size for people with small breasts is offensive to real world women who have those bodies. And the whole idea of "those bodies aren't realistic/natural" is pretty stupid. Like, these people must not go out in public very often.
Well developed female leads are cool and not as common as their male counterparts, so yes, if only because I appreciate diversity in stories and designs.
That being said the difference is fairly arbitrary. So long as the game is good I don't much care one way or the other, and when I have the option of either I basically just go with what looks better art-wise.
Meh, it's game by game for me. Sometimes I try and make the character look like me and other times I just pick which character feels best to be during the game.
I choose usually male. I'm not some kind of pervert who gets a joy looking at a female character's pixelated butt. I don't see many girl gamers creating male characters to see their butt, at least I haven't any. So, I don't know whats so interesting to choose a female. Oh well.
