Since MGS would save the PS3 and Brawl would solidify the Wii ;)

Everyone is guilty of hyping one game for their console over all others, and it usually is the same game; concentration of hype allows the hype to be far more appealing, as it makes the game seem godly before it comes out.

In spite of the fact that it seems Gears 2, MGS4, and Brawl are the only games people care about on their respective systems, such is not really the case. Indeed, each console has a stellar lineup this year, none of which is held up by a single game.

360 has Gears 2 (?), Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2, Too Human, and more.

PS3 has MGS4, FFXIII (?), WKC (?), and more that I cannot name due to the fact that I don't follow the PS3 as much as the 360 (I only have a 360...)

Wii has Brawl, Mario Kart, Spore (?), as well as more that we probably have not heard much about yet (who had heard of No More Heroes at this point last year?)

Gears 2 will be amazing, but it won't "save" anything if Halo 3 didn't do that already. I've said it before that the 360 needs to get a casual firendly game this year. It's like they are mostly marketing for the American market which can be both good and bad.

If anything it will just be compared to Resistance 2. Especially since the Reistcance 2 megaton news hit the other week.

There are enough multiplat shooters in 2008 to keep the main user base pleased, Lemming just want something else to call their own this year.

When Sony advertises the hell out of MGS4, KZ2, and Resistance 2 in America. And considering that each game will be great (almost a certainty that they will).

yea I loved gears for the 360. But their really isn't 1 game that can save any system.

Red Steel over 1 million on one console? That's probably worse as bad as Kane and Lynch selling over 1 million across 3 platforms. MP3 should have sold alot more than it did! Casuals suck in ways :(. But they do keep the wheels rolling like no other.

it was a launch game. we all know that most launch games sell well, but the quality is usually low

Too Human will be a very good game. I think the hate on it is far more laughable than any console's lineup in history (yes, even the 3DO).
