Deathloop is a game changer. Prophecy fullfilled.

I’ve been playing it for 2:30 hours and so far have not seen anything that special or “game changing”.

Its a 7/10 game in a 10/10 tshirt.

Not surprised the game is good, but a 10 took me off guard. A 10 should be reserved for those truly revolutionary games that only come about once in a long while. Deathloop looks good, but it's obvious many of the core gameplay mechanics are repurposed from the Dishonored series. The A.I looks a bit dodgy too, which is disappointing because I'm kinda over mowing down brainless A.I over and over.

I'm probably going to get this game, but I've heard the PC performance can be hit or miss. Gmanlives said in his review his 3080 i7 PC struggled to run this game at times, which points to poor optimization, because this looks like a game that should easily run at 100hz+ on a 1080TI.

sure STALKER 2 will be bettter but its russian game and western journalist always harsh on russian/ukrain games.

7 might be considered as Good on GS, but in reality, a game that gets a 7, in most cases is not even worth buying. Gamepass filler is what i call it.

although only negative thing so far is like Dishonored 2. PC optimization is not good.

most of people who think only big blockbuster games deserve 10 are shocked and started hating it. its first time a mid tier FPS got 10/10. a game that is refreshing and not movie game or COD clone got 10/10.

A 10/10 game should be flawless in every department. I find it hard to believe from what I've seen deathloop is a flawless game. It might change when I play it but it looks a solid 7.

played about an hour last night before bed. It seems interesting but I need to play more to get a real sense of it.

hearing lots of reports of stuttering. It ran ok for me, apart from one area where the frame rate dropped below 60. no stuttering so thats good at least.

the game looks good but not good enough to justify bad performance so hopefully they figure out what is causing the underlying problem for a lot of people (theory is its the DRM).

seriously this DRM need to stop. this is the one causing performance issue plus its engine is unoptimize. Dishonored 2 use exact same engine and had exact same problem at launch.

Just got it and played it for a 1,5 hour! Seems a lot of fun, but so far a 10/10 score seems a bit of a stretch. Currently i would score it a 8/10, but I am open to amend that if it picks up a bit down the line:)

Still a great game for any shooter fans out there.

i've had a few of hours of it on the ps5. performance is good, it's quite a looker. concept is definitely unusual. i feel i'll need a bit of time to wrap my head around it but it chucks you in at the deep end opening up pretty quickly with lots to explore and "lore" to soak up.

it's got all the typical arkane trademarks. mechanics are buttery smooth, level design is carefully crafted and detailed, and you've got plenty of options in both combat and traversal to approach things your way.

it definitely follows in the footsteps of dishonored in terms of feel, but it's all about killing. spare no one seems to be the message. ai is not amazing on an individual level, early on feels like its a strength in numbers thing. environments are pretty densely populated with enemies. if you take on too many they'll overwhelm you so you need to approach from different angles using all your weapons, gadgets and gizmos to thin the herd. and you've always got the prospect of the loop restarting if you f*ck it up so there's a nice underlying jeopardy to anything you do, but you seem pretty resilient and health isn't in short supply so jury's still out on the difficulty.

@djoffer123 yeah feels like you need a good 10-15 hours to see how it all fits together before you can start to score it accurately. overall so far so good anyway

I wasn't really hype for this game. The character models just look so dated but...if it's a fun game, it's a fun game. Reviews are reviews but in my world, the only review that counts is mine so I'll see for myself.

So the PC version is a mess. Should I play it now on the inferior PS5, or wait a year to play it on the Series X?

I actually caved and decided to pick it up. I'm running 4K with max settings/RT and getting a largely locked 60fps. Odd dips here and there but i've only played the first few areas, so that may get worse.

PC ports don't get the attention they deserve...

Arkane are looking into it, so hopefully fixed up soon. I've had one crash, and performance started dipping to 45-50fps, and lowering to 1440p didn't even help.

80 minutes into the game and it feels average at best. The humor reminds me of GotG but more adult, shooting is dog shit, AI is probably the worst I've seen since the PS2 days
