By far the best looking multiplat and most certainly on par with exclusives. Even on par with pc except res and a few effects.

It looks good on consoles but this just proves that Crytek held back on the PC version to not outshine the console versions
It's funny how many PC gamers still had much hope in Crytek when they were developing CE3. I knew they would hold back the moment they said they were going to consoles. I don't blame consoles though, the developers are the ones to blame. It looks good on consoles but this just proves that Crytek held back on the PC version to not outshine the console versions

Holding back the pc version specificly so it doesnt outshine the console versions sounds rather silly if you ask me..*Shootes self* No they "held back" to make a game that would actually run on a lot of PC's smoothly, PC gamers would be moaning just as much if they released another Crysis that won't run properly on hardware that exists at launch and won't be maxed out on a single card for another 2+ years. It looks good on consoles but this just proves that Crytek held back on the PC version to not outshine the console versions

wow this is better than Uncharted 2 and Killzone 3  Beautiful game, just wish they would have added a few PC exlusive effects...didn't they know that would make us PC gamers happy? They are technological wizards afterall, it probably would have only taken a few months to add some nicer effects to the PC version for allthe people who have powerful PCs now :(
great gameplay though :D

Looks like a console port.MFDOOM1983I wish we got more console ports then. Not many games look this goos regardless of platform.
It does look like a shoddy console port, especially with all the fake 'walls' that funnel you from area A -> area B.
With DX11 it will no doubt look incredible, but graphics are the least of my concern, the real issue is the gimping of the gameplay so its now a straight shooter down 'corridors'.
[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"][QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"]Looks like a console port.h575309"Press Start to Continue" Mine says hit enter to continue.
Kinda off topic but what's the point of these "hit something to continue" screens, don't get it. ME1 didn't have it, ME2 press a button to continue, the same with DA:O not having it while DA2 did. Is this some kind of new pointless trend? I mean seriously, what's the freaking point of it. I started the game, of course I want to continue.

Guess they would conquer the world if they werent lazy

You quite obviously havent played it.
What does this have to do with this thread? It was a response to Haberman, who said that it will look amazing with DX 11.[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]
Tacked on DX 11.....100 FPS difference.

It already looks pretty damn good as is and DX11 could improve a lot of textures, lighting, maybe get rid of the MSAA, etc.[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]

Higher resolution and a more stable unstable framerate I believe. Not sure why lemmings are saying the 360 version is better.
PS3 version has no tears while the 360 does, however the 360 version can keep the fps locked at 30.
PC>360=PS3

I wouldn't worry about it, lemmings and cows will fight over a 2 pixel difference on the one hand, yet on the other a PC game running at twice the rez and framrate will be called 'exactly the same as the (insert console here) version.'
Utterly pathetic, they have access to 2010/11 hardware; and yet it barely looks better than the console version. Performance could also be considerably better, given that they stripped it down into a slightly upgraded console port.
Crytek has severely damaged their reputation as a PC hardware pushing developer.

You know... I would have thought the people who were constantly in denial about it being a barely enhanced console port; would have finally seen reason when the game came out. When it was out there for everyone to test, and they could no longer use "not out yet" as a excuse to reject all available material for judging the game.
But I'm looking at this post, and I can see this headache is going to last a while longer... Even when we are looking at a video, showing the PC version offers barely noticable visual differences over the console versions (and yet still needs a 460 to max somehow), people are still trying to spin it's not a disappointment on PC.

I don't have the console version, but the game is amazing looking, i could probably turn up the res but due to my PC's placement i didn't want it to overheat, until i move and get a new desk with an open area for my PC i have to keep it from killing itself,That was actually a really good comparison video.
The game looks good. The PC version looks noticably better to me. But the console versions are really up there. The two look fairly close, but I prefer the lighting on the Xbox 360 version. I'm just glad the game didn't end up as bad as demos and betas pointed out to people.
There was talk that the PS3 version was unfinished going around due to a bad demo or something, but it looks like the final product speaks for itself. It doesn't look as cool as the original, but it still looks like a fun shooter. I'll be sure to pick it up when the price drops a bit.

crysis 2 is so perty, its the first game that made me happy for spending 1200 on a pcYou should be playing Just Cause 2, Shattered Horizons, Metro 2033, and Crysis 1. Especially Metro and Crysis 1. Mods are what makes Crysis 1 absolutely beastly.
I play on extreme at 1152p with a GTX 260. You should increase the res :P
