Crysis 2 or Killzone 3?

Crysis 2 and Killzone 3 are coming out soon and I'm having a hard decision on buying which one. I think I got to upgrade my PC to play Crysis 2 :(

BTW I found out there are actually quite a few similarities between them :o

They are both FPS

They are both video games (lol)

They are both considered to be having the best graphics in this gen

They are both releasing in spring, 2011

Their developers are both european

Their story are both sci-fi

They are both sequels

Lastly, they are both leaked too. What a coincidence ;)

So which are you guys going to buy? Why? (and maybe on which platform :o)

What is a "Killzone 3"? Is it a new war toy from mattel, never heard of it.

I am buying C2 because frankly it offers the gunplay of games like Killzone, BF etc with elements of parkour, and of course the nanosuit. You can do anything with that beast. Kick cars, pick up lampposts, enemy soliders, teddy bears and pretty much anything you want. I don't know what epic stuff KZ3 has but from what I've seen its got that solid shooter mechanic nailed down with a good cover system, top notch animations and melee kills. But that linear feel and pure shooter is too overdone. Crysis 2 just offers better gameplay with so many options, like the ability to choose stealth or force and upgrade your nanosuit to give abilites like ground pounding and sliding. As well a sandbox approach, so it's not the exact same game everytime you play it, yet it still has all the elements of Killzone 3 and other shooters done just as well.

Its the game that has graphics. Its quite popular lately.

Well Im getting both on PS3. Killzone 3 on day one (since Killzone 2 was pretty much the best FPS gameplay I have ever experienced) and Crysis 2 when it gets a bit cheaper (since Crysis was also stunning gameplay wise).

But I really wonder how the PS3 version turns out.

I'm getting Killzone 3 100%. If I get Crysis 2 it might be on 360, so I can sell it when I'm bored of the campaign because the mp looks lame. Then wait for a Steam sale to get it on PC, the way it should be played.

I'll most likely be picking up Killzone 3 day one. Crysis 2 I'll probably pick up once I get around to upgrading my PC.

Crysis 2 is a definite day one buy, but I'm losing interest in KZ3, so I might get it later. (As in, I'd rather spend my money on something else.)

I don't like KZ,but it played a lot better than Crysis 2.

I'm getting Crysis 2 and i'll get killzone 3 when its in the bargain bin.

Crysis 2 for me.

The videos of the gameplay look fantastic with some fundamental extras that have been added to the game to make it stand out. The nanosuit looks to add levels of approach that generic FPS's just dont have.

I found KZ2 to be a good game with pretty graphics. The gameplay was pretty generic FPS fare, certainly nothing that I hadn't seen done better elsewhere before. The KZ3 MP demo was okay but apart from the graphics didnt really add anything new to the genre imho.

I can understand why some people rave about it, as up until KZ2 came out, the FPS exclusives on a Sony platform were exceedingly average, so to have something that was a step above the usual fare must have seemed amazing if you hadnt played anything else. Hopefully KZ3 SP is good, but based on the MP and the general reviews that come from independent review sites (i.e. not PSM or other platform specific mags/sites) there is nothing that is compelling me to rush out and buy it. Probably just a rental will do me especially if the SP is as short as they say.

Killzone 3 only has one new MP mode. I kind of like the beta for the day I played it and the graphics are nice and all but I think it get boring after the first month. So I am going to buy Crysis 2 and maybe Killzone 3 later this year.

you know system wars is the worst place to ask questions like that? They both got a demo so go ahead and play them, then decide for yourself. But i will say get killzone 3 but exactly how will this help you get killzone 3? it is just my opinion NWA90s

The Crysis 2 demo on 360 is no longer playable.

Also you should wait for reviews too, Killzone 3 got a score of 8.5.ocstew

everytime you kills someone or you die in killzone 3 . the guy cries aaagghhh... that junk is annoying as hell.

I'm getting both, kz3 because I loved the multiplayer and crysis 2 to make my pc happy

Killzone 3, Crysis 2, Homefront, Brink all in the first 4 months of the year.

Crysis 2 on PC for me, my HD 5850 GPU is begging for it. But I will get Killzone 3 some time in the future as well.

To be honest both of them have thier attractions and turn offs

cool :lol: I know this topic has been posted dozens of times, but now the betas and demos are out and I want to know how people feel after playing :) also I need to make my decision quick, since I will pre order kz3 (for the dynamic theme and sountrack :D) if I'm buying it.

I'm much more excited for Crysis 2. From what I've seen, the graphics on the Xbox 360 version of Crysis 2 look better than Killzone 3, not to mention the gameplay looks funner and the story has a chance of being good. KZ3 might have better multiplayer though.

KZ3 for the game itself. C2 on PC for SDK because the game in nowhere as good as Crysis 1 or Killzone 3.
