could the order 1886 have been F2P with premium option?

hey guys. so i was just thinking that on typical (one might assume 'common') 1080P TV's with a 16:9 aspect ratio, that in the case of 'The Order 1886' Ready At Dawn could have further capitalized on their resolution choice by offering a free version of the game - and a premium version.

I'll show you what I mean.

Retail Version ($60 USD):

now, considering people were going to pay for the game anyway, all this is going to do is add a free option, supported by advertising. plus these ads would go over unutilized pixels, so if you can ignore these ads then you're playing the game for free.

I had no idea Mt Dews were available in so many different colors.

Forgot this game had the black bars like a movie.... I think I'd rather use the screen I payed for. I fucking hate how movies do this and I for sure don't want games to start. Funny idea though too put ads in the black bars. Would make them a tone of money I think.

On a side note. It's extremely odd that people are calling this the best looking game ever when it only uses something like 60% of your screen.

If video games ever start sporting internet like ads in the header and footer, I will no longer play video games.

Haha, your idea reminds me of how certain Turkish TV channels operate. For example when there's a football (soccer) game they overlay adverts once there's a goal kick, throw-in or some longer free kick. No time to lose, eh?

This is where Kinect would have come in handy (if Kinect was on PS), as the ad execs could peer into the living space and see which ads have the most effect.

Movies do it for a reason though they were shot in that aspect ratio, The Order is just doing it to look like a movie which is dumb.
