Next to the Xbox 360's Controller the WiiU Pro Controller has GOT to be the Best Controller I have ever felt in a long time.

Every Game I play just feels natural and it's quick and easy to get from Old School gameplay to New School gameplay with ease on this controller. It's by far the Best out of the Next Gen Consoles AND it would be a step above the 360's controller had it gotten the much needed Analog ZL and ZR buttons.

Smash Bros is going to feel right at home with this baby. Now if only Nintendo would just break away from the Gamepad and let us just do everything with the Pro Controller we can get things rolling.

What do you guys think? Agree? Isn't the Pro Controller the best of the Big 3? Or is the 360's Controller still King? (I still think it is until Analog ZL and ZR are made.)

I like the big ass Tablet Controller.

Its surprizingly light considering how many features its got, and its almost comfortable.

Honerable mentions to Xbox Kinect because my Body is the Controller haha :p.

It's certainly comfortable. I enjoy the 360's most however. Never held the One's controller and I'm not a fan of the DualShock 4 so far

Haven't tried to pro controller itself, but no pressure sensitive triggers and convex analog sticks is bleh. Same goes for the tablet controller.

I have a hard time figuring out whether I prefer the 360 or Ps4 controller. I think I'm slightly leaning towards the Ps4 controller.

I love the pro controller. I think it's indeed better then the 360 one. The tablet feels also very good to be honest. The fact that it's so light and you can do alot of things with it for a controller.

Not tried the pro controller, but I like the tablet controller.

I think the DS4 is still my favourite controller so far, 360 a close second.

The only thing I don't care for is the digital triggers. I would have preferred analog. Everything else about the Pro is awesome, though.

Or if you could use more than one simultaneously in a co-op game. Or if it had higher range. Still great though.

I could take mine three floors down to the parking and it still worked lol. I have never had issues with its range, though I do know others report problems.

Technically, the console supports up to two Wii U Pads simultaneously, it's just that no game actually supports that feature yet.

IMO, Wii U pro controller isnt all that great because analogs are in the wrong position and the triggers are digital and not analog like they should be. For me, aside from the battery life, the DS4 is the best controller on the market right now.

I shall be playing SSBWiiU with my trusty Classic Controller. I feel bad for GC players that got to buy adapters or get used to new controllers.

If you read the OP, you'd know he wasn't talking about the 'tablet controller' (which is excellent, incidentally)

Nope, not unless you buy some specific bundles (such as the ZombiU or Monster Hunter bundles)

If they couldn't get the Wii U to support GC controllers they should have modeled the Pro controller off a GC controller.

It's good but it could be better. The shape and feel is fantastic but the placement of the ABXY buttons sucks, I find it a bit uncomfortable to move my thumb to the A/Y buttons which is definitely a bad thing. Also as others have said, the lack of analog triggers is a real shame.

360 is my favorite controller, but it has the same problem every controller has in existent. The analog that controls the camera is awful, it doesn't respond when you slightly tilt it in desired direction. I wished the ergonomic engineers looked more into this.

The d-pad and the face buttons are also pretty bad.

Considering its $10 cheaper than the X1 controller and has a 70 hour rechargeable Li ion battery I would put it ahead also.

Aaand we have a Winner ^^ Certain bundles does indeed have the Pro controller. ANd yeh I would put it in the same range as the DS4 controller, thre are a few Things that are worse on it, and some that are better. It really is a nice one.

My favourites are the Xbox One and Gamecube controllers, with 360 and PS4 ones close behind.

The Wii U gamepad is ok for its size but I found it alittle uncomfortable after a while.

The next time you hold a controller, note where the thumbs are resting naturally. It is far more natural to move the camera around than reaching down with the 360.

From a huge Nintendo fan:

Is the tablet controller underrated? Absolutely.

Is the tablet or pro controller as good as XBONE or PS4's controller? No. Nintendo's controllers, per usual, lack that ultra premium quality.

Do the Wii U's controllers work near-perfectly for playing Nintendo games? Yes.

Has anyone used the Wii U controller for a FPS? Its awkward.
Controllers and tablets are supposed to be light. The ipad air tablet weighs less and does more.
Dreamcast, N64, Dualshock1 are the legendary best controllers.

For now, Xbox One and PS4 controllers are probably the best and can be used for all sorts of games.
Keyboard and Mouse are top but for some certain games, its better using a controller.
These are official controllers, but other brands have in some cases had better grip and more functions so its not fair to rule them out either.

I've tried them all... NGC controller is my favourite with the 360 in a close second and have only tried the WiiU controller for a short period of time and it was pretty good and I HATE the playstation controller... Seriously they are sticking to the symmetrical stick layout?... Stuck up morons at Sony need to wake up and realise that people don't use the DPAD to control the characters in a three dimensional game.

Haven't used it yet but the DS4 has everything, plus it's better than Wii U's (lol) or One's gamepad. Otherwise it's the old X360 controller that takes the cake.

The sticks are fine I like that position but the buttons just feel slightly off to me, they're a bit too far over to the left. The way they're placed on the Gamepad is perfect.

Once you put analog stick covers on the DS4 Its a front runner. The button placement is just a touch better than the Xbox Ones and much better than the Wii U. I had a big problem with the faulty rubber on the DS4 controller but once you fix that the controller is great. After the fix I give the DS4 a 9. The Xbox One controller a 8.9 and the Wii U pad a 8 and the pro an 8 as well. Controllers are pretty much as good as they can get. We should all be thankful I guess

One of the best feeling controllers ever and a battery life that shames the competition a dozen times over. Think I only charged the damn thing when I got it around Christmas with 3D World. Still going strong after playing through that, Donkey Kong and whatever other random VC or retail games.

@bobbetybob: The placement is about the same BTW. The only difference is a massive screen between the left side and the right side.

Sure Wii U pro controller is great:

+Built in battery <> Xbone controller AA batteries

+Long lasting battery life <> PS4 controller pathetic battery life

+Nintendo D-pad is still the best

-Triggers aren't touch sensitive. It's either on or off, which makes it worse for racing games for example.

Wii U pro controller would be perfect if it weren't for those triggers.

@charizard1605 said:

Nah it's too big and not enough games make good use of it. Especially the games I like to play i.e. platformers :p
