CoD Ghosts gets hacked before launch

I don't know what the deal is with the CoD series and these supposed "hackers," but the trend seems to have struck again. The sad thing is the game hasn't even been released yet.

Keep in mind, it's just the current gen consoles that have been affected. So no worries if you plan on buying next gen.

And of course if you don't care about the CoD series this whole debacle can be used for a few good spite laughs/jokes.

If all they're doing is effectively boosting then I wouldn't really care. Doesn't hurt my experience anything whatsoever. People are gonna have access to more/better stuff than me regardless. A design issue inherent to games with progression systems.

I'm more bothered by them having pirated the game. That's not cool bro. Whatever it is they're saying about potential consequences not really mattering is what Microsoft and publishers should be taking a look at, and change, so that it does matter.

Where problems arise for me with people hackmodding is when proper cheats arrive. Wallhacks, aimbots etc. BF3 had a good one that'd just instantly kill anyone on the opposite team as soon as they spawned.

Piracy will always exist in some form, it's up to the developers and publishers on how to best circumvent it. I personally think CD project RED has the best system.

I haven't played a CoD game since CoD 4 but when I played that was the funnest part. I remember farming the golden gun skins and if all that is handed to you then where is the incentive to play?

I have no problem with Activison's latest yearly released title being pirated actually.

Game mechanics? Design? You know, the part where you play the game. If you can't derive enjoyment from that then the game's got bigger issues than modhackers.

Uh this isn't about piracy/leaked torrents, but that the game has been hacked, example in the video is like 60K xp per kill. It's using basically a JTAG modded 360 to hack the game

In the video even the hackers amit why they do it. It's because of money. They can sit back an charge $20 for a game with someone and max someone out in 3 seconds. Shoot i remember when people was selling colored gamertags for $10-30. IT's a joke
