Can't We All Agree That The PlayStation 3 And XBOX 360 Are Both Great Consoles?

The PlayStation 3 has many brilliant exclusives that are out now, such as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet. It also has many upcoming exclusives games that look awesome, such as Uncharted 2, Gran Turismo 5, Heavy Rain and God Of War 3. The console also features free online play, and the ability to play Blu-Ray films.

The XBOX 360 also has excellent exclusives that are out now, such as Halo 3: ODST, Gears Of War 2, Crackdown and Mass Effect. Many great exclusives titles are going to be released soon as well, such as Forza Motorsports 3, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake and Halo Reach. The XBOX 360 has an amazing online service which I think is worth paying for, and you can use Netflix to stream movies straight to your console with ease.

So, my question is...

Why can't we all just agree that the Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 are both great consoles in their own ways?

Because people love to force their preferences on others and state their opinions as facts.

Because.

They're pretty much the same. Their exclusive mirror each other and they share a ton of multiplats.

Both are great,its just that one is greater than the other.

I'll agree they both have good games but hardware wise the 360 is trash.

Everyone here knows that each console is enjoyable in it's own particular way. It's just that very few would care to admit it, and that it's far more fun to nit-pick and complain about stuff we don't own or particularly like. It's called "System Wars" for a reason.

But I will say that I do prefer the PS3 a bit more.I like the controller more and it doesn't sound like a jet engine ;)

I've been playing more my PS3 than my 360 lately but both consoles are great in thier own way..

I don't see the necessity if insulting other consoles, people who prefer other consoles et cetera. If you think your console is the best then great, you made the best option for you. Even feel smug and superior if you absolutely must, but defending every little feature of it, or decision by the company that made it whilst launching vitriolic attacks against any other console/company is just obnoxious. Why put the time and effort into caring so much?

Please, I'm referring to having had my PS3 for 2 years and still own the one I took out of the box (never needed repairs) versus my elite which needed repairs after 5 months and ended up with someone elses trash. Denial :roll:

Mine broke two times, but I still love it, because it gave me such wonderfull games to play.

My psone same story, broke a couple of times, first time I got a free repair. Second time I was out of warranty and had to buy a new one but I still loved it, again because it gave me such wonderfull games to play.

At least microsoft repaired mine for free the second time and gave me xbox live gold for a month to ease the pain.

I like both the PS3 and the 360.

The only console that is great is the 360 baby 8) ftw

No, no we cannot.

The PS3 has not proven to me it is a great console. Of course, it has a couple more years of live left, so hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.

they both truly are, but its just your preference. I'm a sucker for exclusives and the ps3's seemed to appeal to me more. but 360 is also a great way to go. There's no losing, both have great technologies and advantages.
