Last time I checked I started with an SNES and think the PS2 was better.

Had the most fun on the PC before I let mine become antiquated, loved the SNES and am enjoying my 360 as much as I enjoyed my PS2.

I am dissapointed to say I owned neither a PS1 or N64 but I still had plenty of playtime on them.

PS2 was great but imo PSX, Genesis, Snes and 360 are better. IMO PS2 is as good as the first xbox. PS2had aimpressive numberof exclusives and xbox had some great exclusives and the best multiplats.

well its a fact that the PS2 is the most successful console ever created, so IMO yeah its the greatestCONSOLE of all time. i find that it just utterly destroys everything else in terms of library and sales.

Not for me the xbox 360 is like a next gen version of the PS2 only a lot better.TX360

One of but not the best for me, I find playing with the SNES back in the days more enjoyable than the Playstation 2.

In my opinion the PS2 was the biggest piece of junk console ever made, well its tied with the 360 for the biggest piece of junk. However, it had the largest library of games just like the 360 now. How ironic. The 360 and the PS2 are so similar, they are both junk, they have the most games and they have the most expensive add on stuff.

I mean, PS1 was amazing, PS3 is awesome, psp is pretty cool, but really the PS2 is the greatest Sony, and greatest system of all time.

The Super Nintendo was awesome, as well as Nes. N64 definitely had some high times. GAme cube was meh and so far the wii is meh.

The xbox was good, but Halo 2 and Fable made it. The 360 is literally a "360". MS was able to get devs to make the 360 AMAZING. Favorite system this gen hands down. It's 2nd on the greatest system list :)

Far from the best imo. That goes to the Super Nintendo, N64 or PC. I hated my PS2.

Although my personal favourite is the Dreamcast no-one can deny the PS2 was a beast. I have had my PS2 since 2002 but only got 3 games for it since i was very occupied with DC, GC and XBOX (in real life all these consoles were equal to me at the time). It wasnt untill 2005 i started to see all of the games etc.

Im planning to get more games for the PS2 than PS3 this year. Im getting Persona 3: FES(got), Persona 4, ICO, Shadow of the collosus and Okami. What made the console for me was games like these instead of games such as GOW, GT, GTA, R&C and Killzone. A little off topic but i absoloutley hate the turd that is the GOW series and yes i have played both.

Hardly. The only game I still play on my PS2 is "Guitar Hero World Tour" - to be quite honest I felt the PS1 was far more impressive than the PS2. I wouldn't mind going back and playing FF7 / FF8, Parasite Eve, Metal Gear Solid, etc - there's nothing on the PS2 I particularly want to play other than Twisted Metal Black and Disgaea.subrosian

As great as the ps2 is, it's very over rated.

The PS2 is awesome. I have Killzone 2 and I'd rather play Persona 4. It's amazing that they are still making quality titles for that thing.

I have to agree best of everything which is why a BC PS3 is actually overall the best seeing how I can play all the great PS2 games with no problem and still play all the new games coming out :D

The backwards compatibility with PS1 games makes it the greatest system ever, because in doing so it was able to incooporate an already established library of epic titles into its own amazing library.
