COD 4 was innovative, the rest wasn't.

Loved mw2, played the mp for endless hours!

After that I buy all the call of duty releases, but almost never played them... played them combined for like 2-3 hours.

No idea why I loved mw2 so much!

After playing every single CoD to date and spending months and years on each game i still think MW2 to be the best CoD game to date! that game was crazy fun and it still is after all those years... MW3 close second after MW2 for being the best CoD.

CoD 4 innovated the rest didn't. Plus CoD 4's innovation were mostly changes derived from Battlefield 2.

Also I think MW2 costed more than previous COD entries. At one point activision decided the PC version should cost the same as the console versions without having to pay any royalties to platform holders.

Charge more for less :cool:

I think finalstar is talking about just the MP. but still Spec Ops doesn't make up for the terrible MP portion

CoD4 was good, REALLY good i remmeber playing it for hours and hours every single day but as soon as MW2 came out it changed everything to the better imo

Yeah i only talk about the MP since thats all i play in CoD ( MW2 Spec ops was boring and story mode was just bad ).

MP have always been CoD's strongest point! buy CoD and straight up to MP no story mode or spec ops ( zombies mode is only fun in the first month tbh )

Call of Duty and Assassins Creed were the two main innovators this gen.

I never found the games competitive unless you count knelling in a corner for most of the game competitive.
