Advanced Warfare was Jeff Gerstmann's game of the year for 2014. I'm super disappointed that Black Ops 3 isn't even on the same level as that game. I've always thought Treyarch has been massively overrated over the years. However, I least expected them to beat out Sledgehammer. Come on Treyarch, you've been working on Call of Duty games for almost a decade now, and the newer team has you beat?

Every single year CoD is trash and EVERY SINGLE YEAR i hear the "this time around it looks good, i may buy it". No, it doesn't look good, its a POS, stop expecting anything half decent from CoD.
Score seems too low no matter how it's spun. The game is essentially Titanfall refined, and without the mechs but with a ****load of content in their place. I wasn't expecting a 9 like Titanfall, but an 8 seems appropriate. I mean you've got that game's gunplay, good map design, a cooperative campaign, a cooperative zombie campaign, zombies mode, dead ops arcade 2, and free run mode. I realize that quality trumps quantity, but with the gameplay essentially echoing Titanfall's which was a 9, you'd think a similar score would be in order. I feel as though placebo franchise fatigue is more at play here than anything else. Were this a new IP, I have no doubts the score would be higher.
So ive played alittle bit. The goddamn PS4 framerate is all over the place. This is seriously rough and the Digital Foundry analysis better reflect what I'm seeing. This is crazy!

Why is this a thing among the developers? Can't run your damn game full HD at 60 fps on console hardware? Then cut useless graphical effects! Dynamic resolution is horse shit.

They had three years! Three! what excuse could they possibly have for not having both systems running at 60 consistently? Previous games ran much better.
Alright complainers. I played it for 6 hours now and so far it's great. Beside the campaign. AW and Ghost had shitty multiplayer and shitty zombie/alien shit mode. Aw and Ghost should have scores 6 compared to this review.
Also I must say, they downgraded the graphics ALOT.

There is a TON of content in this game. It's obvious they were working on getting as much into the game as possible and not getting it to run exceptionally well.

There is a TON of content in this game. It's obvious they were working on getting as much into the game as possible and not getting it to run exceptionally well.
I see a patch or two in the near future then. Still, three years for a game like this should have been overkill compared to other dev times they've had. Extra content shouldn't be an excuse.
Three years in development and it is a technical mess. But treyarch does make good games based on their previous delivery.
Treyarch should really be making spider man or some other games. Such a waste of talent and Activision deserves this 7/10 score. I'm surprised franchise fatigue hasn't kicked in with most reviewers yet. Even if it's someone else from the same site, they all played it. Guess they get good money from giving high scores (not talking about GS in Blops 3 case)
