Brawl will get an 8.0 or 8.5 from gamespot

Brawl will get an 8.0 or 8.5 from gamespot because they will complain that the fighting hasn't changed alot from previous smash games and that it doesn't take advantage of motion controls in a very significant way. Plus Melee, even though probably the best game last-gen, didn't even get AAA from them (8.9).

Anyone else think they'll end up docking points for these things and not give it AAA?

(IGN will give it a 9.5 though).

Really because the official thread says AA. Most Wii owners voted AA because of GS lack of passion for SSB. Did you see their preview? They got to play the game for a couple hours and all the wrote was like 2 paragraphs saying "Ya its fun..."

yeah but who are we kidding here? i'm hyping the score AA, but the game itself is AAA status, and we may have gotten away this time but really it should be hyped AAA, everyone already is so why not? and so what if it flops? :|

yeah...you could argue that it didn't meet it's mental hype (despite the fact that it'll probablly be getting 9's and 10's at almost every other site)...but in the grand scheme of things you can't go against the SW rules (no matter how stupid they are)Shinobishyguy

Smash Bros Brawl is a must buy for anyone that loves, fun, fighting games, fun, replayability, fun, nintendo characters, fun oh and yeah having fun.

That game last gen was one of the best games overall, and imo(!) the best fighting game. And it will be this gen one of the best games and one of the best fighting games. The game is so complete that the GS review matters as much as one of the Sony Defense Force's reviews when it comes to brawl.

Very rarely do I see fighters get a AAA on these websites.. For instance I can't think of the last time a Street Fighter got a AAA here, if it ever had..sSubZerOo

The last one I can think of was Tekken 5, and the port to the PSP.

Brawl does seem to have enough additions to avoid the whole "Same Old Sh!t" gameplay classification
