The art in this game is absolutely stunning (the chibi characters leave a bit to be desired, but those environments are so gorgeous and the enemy designs look excellent), but did I see a jobs system? If it's executed anywhere close to the way that it is in Final Fantasy V, that's a major plus.

I don't even know how it works, lol. Guess I'll leave it to the full game to explain it to me properly.
I believe you can mix job abilities though. Or something.

That's all I need to hear. The ability mixing is what makes FFV's jobs system so compelling. This game will get serious GreySeal9 points if it deepens the ability mixing.

Yeah, I mean, I'm a swordmaster right now. Going for that, but I can just level my 'Performer' job and use abilities from that. I don't have any though because the only job I've levelled is Swordmaster. There's a total of 9 jobs.

FFV has a lot more jobs, but some are so much more useful than others that I feel Braverly Default's 9 is a good amount, provided that they are all useful.
Thanks for posting those screenshots!

Yeah, exactly. I sure hope they will all serve their purpose.
No prob.

It has 24 jobs in the main game with some very strange ones (I understand you can be a pirate and wear an eyepatch) the demo has 9 jobs and their seems to be a lot of flexibility in the system.

Oh, shoot. My bad then. Well, this game is already a winner if I can be a pirate.
Yeah, the demo is really its own thing. Even the missions you get in the demo are only for the demo. You won't see them back in the full release.
bleh game looks ugly no matter how many different times I see it.
The art is fine to me. Reminds me of a better looking Radiant Historia.
Looks like Radiant Historia mixed with Final Fantasy IX.
Yup that too and you know I love FFIX.
The battle system looks fun and this job system looks interesting.
@GreySeal9: This is a spiritual successor to the game Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light, so the job system will likely be similar to that.
Game looks awesome, can't wait to play it. the graphics have grown on me; enemy design is strong, and the classes look badass.
Hmm I think it looks kinda generic? I mean in terms of gameplay? I'm not sure why. Haven't even played more than 2 FF games ever.
Still I pre-ordered it because I think the game will be great. Just not sure if I'll appreciate it as much as the fanz of the genre.
(Have to say I never liked that job system so maybe that is bugging me.)
