Day 1 PoS4 owner here and so far .... the only exclusive game I have really enjoyed in the PoS4 is TLoUR, oh well, shit happens.

I'll definitely be playing Nioh someday! I'm playing a lot of catch up right now on the Souls games. I went through Dark Souls 2 almost 2 years ago, finally got through Dark Souls 1 a couple months ago, and am now plowing through Dark Souls 3 (easiest one so far). I got a PS3 w/ Demon's Souls for Christmas so I'll be hitting that up this summer hopefully. They're all amazing games, but I think the genre/franchise can bring some fatigue with it.

Are some features the same? Sure, if we're talking about bonfire/lamp, hub, upgrade system, and other similarities that have nothing to do with actual gameplay mechanics. In combat, definitely. It's the Zelda series biggest fault imo.

But combat is the main focus of NiOH. Zelda is more than that, with it being an adventure game. Kinda hard to compare.

That's just less than one overrrated ripoff game per year since release, such an amazing library.

Yet all of these FPS devs get a free pass making "ripoff" games... assuming that Team Ninja ripped off of Ninja Gaiden or something like that.

A Ninja would lose to a Samurai in a head-on battle. But the advantage Ninjas had was stealth, which allowed them to assassinate Samurais when they had their guard down.

Those are 3 excellent games so far. Allong with multiplats dorminant it makes sence they lead. They got the right formula.

like i've said bloodborne needs to be re-reviewed and given a 10. uncharted 4 is neat, nioh is great, but bloodborne is on another level. best game of the generation thus far, easily.

This gen has been fantastic for all systems, between exclusives, multiplats, AAAs and indies, the amount of quality and diversity is insane! Exclusives wise yes, PS4 has been on fire lately!
