Thank you for this riveting bit of information I've known for years. The game was actually decent, it managed an 80 on Metacritic and the splitscreen MP was fun. Obviously it wasn't as good as the PC version, but not so bad that we need to talk about over 10 years later.
Blizzard didn't make that game and frankly it's complete and total ass compared to the PC version.

That's an understatement. :P It is, the PC version is infinitely better but no matter how inferior it was an ok game and it doesn't really warrant a thread. I thought it was generally accepted fact that Blizzard games inherently don't work with consoles.

It was actually pretty good on N64...for console RTS standards in that age.
It was actually pretty good considering the control scheme it had to deal with. What is the point of this thread though? That a N64 port deems RTS games impossible on consoles?

Yeah I have that game.... graphics were horrible :P... a decent game though.
I actually remember growing up with a crappy PC and playing Command and Conquer on my Sega Saturn. It was pretty friggin' fun and at that time I could really care less about PC RTS versus console RTS. I imagine there's a decent market out there who wouldn't care either, they'd just want to play the game.
although I agree blizzard games have absolutely no business being on consoles, starcraft 64 is hardly a good example, since it was a solid AA here on GS.
