biggest disappointment E3 So Far: Alan Wake

This was so damn hyped, easyily AAA and people said this could also win GOTY becaouse it was supposed to be this brand new

detective game with creativity and amazing puzzles.

But instead we get your carbone copy, Resident Evilish type Shooter, with this weird go back into a the past feature with....YES MONSTERS, and Zombies.

Thats right, we have invisible Monsters and zombie looking people in ALAN WAKE.

Anybody really pissed off about this

I'm sure that two minute demo isn't the entire game

No way! That was one of the better ones. Forza 3 owns though.

What did you expect a Racing game or Mario clone. I bet you think Heavy Rain is going to be a click adventure. :|

Nope, Alan Wake impressed me, and with a great dev behind it, it probably won't fail.

hadow complex looked like a lot of fun though

it looked good, not WOW like it's been hyped. The gameplay was ok from what we saw. I'll wait for more footage.

Or on Sony's conference tomorrow? There's no reason for closed doors when the teaser already out, and if it was exclusive M$ would have asked them to go there.

On topic, I still love the atmosphere of the game but the actual gameplay isn't really that hot. Maybe be why they never showed it till now.

SC:C looked great plus Crackdown2 and I wasn't hyped at all about alan wake but after seeing some game play I really want to play it

I gotta agree alan wake looks amazing I wanna play it, it looks a little like how silent hill 5 was suppose to look.

I have been extremely skeptical of this game, but finally seeing some gameplay has me excited for it yet again. Sucks it is a year away, but it is looking pretty good to me.

Listen I am not saying it looked terrible or the "gameplay" was not working as intended.

If they said all along it was gonna be a silent hill type game then i would be fine with it becaouse I like it.

But every damn impression they gave was a detective game and a deep story.

and all we got is a monster/zombie third person shooter :(

i thought it looked good, liked the narrative effectively reading the book was a nice touch, hopefully it'll have something different like some ball busting puzzles etc but why would you show that at E3? they were always going to show shooting bits rather than possibly slower moments that hopefully set it apart

I was interested up untill it said 2010. Sod off. Been hearing about it for years now, I simply don't care enough to wait another year. Interest is lost.

Let me put it this way:

The old demo was pure adventure, the new demo is pure action - it will be a mix of both - I assure you - they just had to show a lot of fast apced action for the crowd in order to keep everyone's attention I guess...

The part I wasn't to keen on, was the moment when the camera zoomed in on the shadow creature like a light hearted console RPG game...

I'm just worried about the combat, I didn't like the slow motion action.

Im really interested in Alan Wake... Is my most hypedXBOX360 game.

I'm sure there are more in the whole game, I mean when first Bioshock looks like average FPS with magic, but once you finish it, you'd realize it's not.
