Best Year For Gaming This Gen?

My two favorite games this gen, MGS4 and Uncharted 2, have decent years, but the best year has to go to 2010.

Bad Company 2, Red Dead Redemption, God of War 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and others like Arkham Asylum.

I feel like it has been pretty evenly spread over years this gen, Or maybe it is just that there are not as many good game sin general but quite a few awesome ones released now and then.

Might have to say 2007 because of Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

2009 easily

Lets see...with games like Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, Bayonetta, Vanquish, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Street Fighter IV, Bioshock 2, Halo Reach, AC Brotherhood, NFS Hot Pursuit, Mass Effect 2, God of War 3.......Yup... 2010 EASILY!

I'll probably go with 2011

None of the years stands head and shoulders above the others for me. Most of the good games have been fairly evenly spread imo. Also, there's a multitude of DS and PSP games OP didn't list but I don't think anyone wants to go through and try to list all of those.

2011: Sonic Generations, Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3, Sonic CD Remake, Skyward Sword

2007 followed by 2010. The rest is pretty interchangeable depending on your tastes I guess.

Toss up between 2010 and 2011.

This puts in perspective of just how bad 2012 really is.

2009 for sure... Killzone 2, Uncharted 2. Best in both series.

Plus your list is missing both Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Portal 2. I bought on day 1 last year Portal 2, Deus Ex:HR, Skyrim, Dark Souls, UC3, Gears 3, BF3, Resistance 3, and KZ3, then Arkham City when it was $30. Money well spent.

2007 was incredible (my vote). Last year was close to me, mostly due to Skyrim and Gears 3.

2011, with the Skyrims and the Zeldas and the Batmans, and the Infamouses and the LA Noires and the Portal 2s and the Uncharteds.

Why do people keep saying 2012 hasnt been good? Maybe for consoles, PC its as good as every other year.

also it wasn't that great of a year for PC gamers, better than it was for console gamers but still not as good as other years.

each year was packed , 2008 was good 2005 meh 2006 ok 2011 -fine , and this year is the worst , (except the end of the year of course) the summer was boring and early spring was not packed at all ,
