As times past, how do you rank all the Uncharted games now?

Now that Naughty Dogs leave Uncharted series in the past, how would you rank the 5 (6 if you count Golden Abyss PS Vita) Uncharted games? Me, in this order:

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. (It's no secret it's still by far the best in the series)
2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
3. Uncharted: Lost Legacy.
4. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
5. Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
6. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

I may say Lost Legacy is better than A Thief's End only if you like playing a female lead in Uncharted world.

I like the story of 1 the most. Not much else to say, since I like the series and judge them more on the story.

Golden Abyss

I’ve only played 1, 2, and 3 but I did enjoy them. I would rank them as follows:

1. Uncharted 2

2. Uncharted 3

3. Uncharted

They are all crap.

Here are my rankings and some thoughts for this up and down series.

Uncharted 2 Very well paced and killed at the time of set pieces with quick flow arcade gameplay. The time when story was just fun and not have to be serious.

Uncharted LL This may actually be the best in the series for me but is masked as a quick re skin so loses a step. This game is like the greatest hits of 2 with UC 4 improvements to the series. It fixes the exploration of 4. It is a trimed down version but the exploration of that one area is bigger and more meaningful gameplay wise. This also has hint of what it would be like to do these games in a none linear fashion. If the series ever returns its time to do the entire game like that open area.

Uncharted 4 gameplay was all over place in terms of pacing. TPS is actually quite advanced borrowing TLOU encouters design with blend of UC traversal. Unfortunatly they had mechanics for climbing and decided to remove them while keeping a lot of nonsensical climbing. On balance I think ND and and before that Amy Hanig struggled with direction for the series here. Druckman story is king focus ment gameplay had to take a sit to meat production deadline. None the less story wise its probably the best characterization of the series if it even needed that.

Uncharted 3 eh

Uncharted 1 This was a bad game to be honest. A game that was also limited by the ps3 hardware difficulties and a studio first try at something new.

I legitimately enjoyed each and everyone though.

I've only played the first 3 on PS3, and would rank them 2 > 3 > 1.

But I might be able to play 4 soon because my cousin might be selling his Pro to me for next to nothing.

this is how i rank them. dunno about others but i find uncharted 1 very underrated. one of the best graphics ive played that time. the only let down i have is they include some zombies

Uncharted 4 > Uncharted 2 > Uncharted 1 > Uncharted 3 = my order.

Lost Legacy was probably my favorite. Shorter than 4, but that was a plus imho. Story felt tighter too, and I preferred the Chloe and Nadine combo over Drake and Sully. Always found Drake a bit annoying. Beyond that 2 and 4 were the next best.

When I think back, 1 is the only one with a believable setting. It's just dumb that ancient cities that big are undiscovered in the later games. The world in the Lost Legacy, in the middle of India, never would have been lost.

The only one I enjoyed of the ones I've played, was Lost Legacy, which I loved. 1 and 2 were boring crap, same with Golden Abyss. Couldn't motivate myself to continue 3, it was boring me. I haven't tried 4 yet.

Very good overview of Uncharted series and I agree with UC4, it was all over the place and didn't like the fact Drake had a hidden brother but it grew into me though.

If you love Lost Legacy, don't bother with UC4 unless it comes to PS+ in the future. Not saying UC4 is the worst, but not ground breaking either.

Movie 2 > Movie 4 > Movie 3 > Movie 1.

I haven't played 1 and the Vita game. so for me it goes like this:

3> Lost Legasy> 2> 4

This is how I rate them...

2, 4, 3, then 1. 4 is the best from a gameplay perspective and a technical standpoint but 2 was seriously just a roller coaster ride from the very beginning to the end.

Playing through the Nathan Drake collection atm (just completed the plane mission of 3 :) )! Love the franchise! I think the games are fairly even, more so than perhaps any other franchise. Especially now that they have brushed up 1 a bit (no six-axis, thank god). The first three I have played many times each, but 4 and LL only once. And my memory of them is a bit hazy atm. Anyway I think it's:

2 > 4 > LL > 3 > 1

Haven't played GA. Perhaps 4 is better than 2, need to replay it to be sure. I just felt the pacing was a bit off.

I actually got it a few years ago, I've just never gotten around to trying it. I haven't been able to motivate myself to play it.

2 was the only one worth a damn. 1 was terrible, miracle it got a sequel.

definitely one of the more overrated series (and devs) around in terms of critical success.

for me:

4 = 3 > 2 > Lost Legacy (never played the first one)

I thought Lost Legacy was awful. didn't even bother to finish it

I played 2 a couple years after it came out, hearing how it was one of the best action games ever, and was very underwhelmed. if I went in with the expectations I had going into 3 and 4 I might have enjoyed it more.

@mclarenmaster18: I am a bit surprised to see that I am not the only one who ranks 3 higher than 2. My list :

4, 3, Lost Legacy, 2, 1.

The franchise peaked with Uncharted 2 and 4 came close but just didn't have the same charm.

Uncharted and Gears of War share the same fate... They peaked early and the rest after come close but never better than 2.

From what I played 2, 3, 1. UC2 is one of the greatest video game I have ever played in my life. UC3 was good, just not as much as UC2. UC was meh.

I will admit, between UC2 & UC4, they do come very close to each other but UC2 had the train stage which is memorable and had supernatural enemies (Yeti like) that made the game more intent and my only issue with UC4 is the freaking lack of supernatural enemies is a letdown.

Aso I realize should probably count Lost Legacy as a proper Uncharted game even though it's

technically side oriented... at least IMO... making 5 in the franchise … I wn went ahead

and just did the 4... if anything though I think golden Abyss is better to be 5

and Lost Legacy is the possibly (6) IMO anyway....
