Are there any Original PS4 owners who are upgrading to the Xbox One X?

I saw there was a lot of 360 ---> PS4 owners on here especially that one dude who had 360 in his name and now hes playing on ps4.

Are these people going to xbox one x sticking it out with ps4 or going ps4 pro or whats going on with them do you think?

The Xbox One X offers me literally nothing of interest. If MS ever wants to have my attention they should bet on software, not hardware.

The only games that interest me on the Xbox One X are also on PC.

I purchase systems for exclusives and PS4 offers exclusives that interest me: Uncharted, Horizon, Spider-Man and Ghost of Tsushima.

There is still some games I didn't get for PS4 but it was one of the reasons I wanted the system, Bloodborne.

Plus, I have a PC.

Why would they? Atari Jaguar was the more powerful console at one point, it even got a really good exclusive game (AVP) but it wasnt enough to combat Sony even at the start of Sonys foray into the console market.

Lets be real here: PS4 will remain the more popular console, it has better games and it will likely have better games and be more popular till the next PS console releases a few years from now.

No, there isn't much that interest me on xbox that i cant get on ps4 or elsewhere. As soon as I have an adequate pc (mines could probably run cup head but its slow and I don't use it much anymore) I'll buy the xbox console exclusives I want on there.

I don't imagine there will be many trading in their PS4s for X1Xs. After all, this far along in the gen, many people who game on PS4 have friends that game on PS4, and they have a library of games they'd have to give up on, PS+ games too. Still, some could keep their PS4s and still get an X1X.

Anyhow, as awesome as the X1X is, it's going to be hard to sell itself, not even the price I see as it's biggest barrier as much as how looking at side to side comparisons on the internet, on my phone or laptop, in pictures and YouTube videos, it doesn't do justice to what the X1X offers as seeing it first hand on an 4K TV.

I had to choose between the xbone S and X. I chose the S and I never play the damn thing. So buying the X would have added another $350 for a console I never play.

I actually got accused of being an espionage agent for MS in the last thread I posted that got closed.

Thing is, 3 months ago I was gaming on a 720p Plasma TV and finally decided to upgrade. I upgraded to 4k HDR since they had some great deals out at the time, I think it was maybe a Labor Day thing or something. Anyway, I was already on the fence of getting one since I had the 4k and I knew they had Forza coming out.

Like I said before I was still on the fence until Gabe from Penny-Arcade said once he played one it completely changed his mind, so then I decided to get one since after years of following PA, I know me and the guys agree about 9/10 times.

I'm glad I did, there is no longer reason to play any multiplats on my vanilla PS4, and I don't game on PC because I don't like having to deal with all the extra work that comes with it. Yes PC is superior, I am just lazy.

And of course I am going to continue to play my PS4, God of War? yes please. TLOU pt 2? Of course, the original is in my top ten GOAT. But for multiplats like the new Metro, they will be played on my X.

depends when the ps5 will launch. if early reports of late 2019 are accurate then there needs to be a bunch of killer exclusives scheduled for release on the X over the next ~18 months for me to consider it.

the big draw for the X that i can see at the moment is the ability to play all the 360 / one games and 2018 multiplats with a hefty perf boost. i own both ps4 and a one but i've bought all multiplats on the ps4 and i won't be spending £450 on an X just so i can re-buy them all again. if tlou2 coincides with the ps5 launch plus (hypothetically) something like gta 6 then ms have got their work cut out to keep the X desirable.

all this is based on the assumption the ps5 will be out in 2019 and ms hasn't got much in the way of exclusives up their sleeve beyond another gears / halo / forza / dead rising. time will tell but ms need to act fast

If I only gamed on consoles, yeah probably. Most games are multiplats. Most of the games I play are multiplats. So I'll take the better box for the job.

Edit: Oh I should point out that I'd still keep the PS4 in that hypothetical situation lol. Would just have the X around for multiplats.

But as it is, the PS4 has already been a dry console for me, least played console I've ever owned by far. If I cared to upgrade it, would have already bought a Pro. And the Xbone exclusive library has been so slim and unappealing to me that it's the first major console I've never owned in 30 years of gaming. Power boost does nothing to change that as it's still significantly weaker than my PC. So as a multiplat box it would be useless. And as an exclusive box, it just wasn't there to begin with.

I can't imagine they would. PS4 is still decent and has great exclusives. Power isn't everything. Xbox One was just shamefully weak and had no exclusives on top of that.

If a console is good enough, people will be happy. And the truth is, the PS4 pro is the most balanced console between games, exclusives and hardware performance.

If I was buying a console today, a PS4 Pro is the easy choice.

Not me. I can play the MS games I want to on my PC, but there's not many I want to play anyway. I've got Forza 6: Apex and Killer Instinct to play occasionally.

I've got 26 games in my backlog, including 12 PS4 games, and the rest spread out on other systems.

While I do own a launch PS4, I also own a launch Xbox One so I was never solely a PS4 owner. I bought the Xbox One X.

Ugh... not me and not many. The best looking game is on PS4, its called Horizon. Multiplats i dont care about running at resolutions a bit higher which i also dont care about is not something that would make me buy it. I'll be happy playing Dragon Quest XI at 1080p next year and after that PS5 comes out 2019 so X1X is pointless.

The fact they couldn't even launch the thing with any special first party title to show off the capabilities of the machine made it a big fat no in my book. I don't think MS is invested in making games much any more and that would make buying a Scorpio an exercise in futility. I tried to keep an open mind at E3 and was hoping MS would spring a game or two on us. Instead, it was the same weak antics of booming the word "EXCLUSIVE" for games that aren't really exclusive.

As far as I'm concerned, if someone would drop a console that actually continues to get exclusive and unique games for one that doesn't, they probably weren't much of a gamer.

I have a highend Pc (8700k with 1080 Ti), a PS4, a Ps4 Pro, a xBox One and a Switch. I pretty much buy every system out there and usually several models if they get better over time (went from 3DS to 3DS XL to New 3DS XL or own both Vita models). The xBox One X is the first in a long time I won't buy. Why? Because it has no exclusives. Exclusives are the only reason to get a console if you have a strong PC. If I can play all the xOne games at a better quality on my PC with a xOne Controller, why would I decide to play it on an inferior system? I would love more console manufacturers to go multiplat. I would love to see what Mods could do to BotW or someone adding Gameplay to the Order 1886 :P

If this question is difficult for xbox fans to answer with serious qualifiers, then I doubt much of anyone is going to willingly choose a xbox one (any version) over the PS4 other than those who are previously invested in the xbox ecosystem.

The vast vast majorly of people I see who say they purchased the X... are people who are already known xbox one owners.

People are not migrating to xbox one by the looks of it. The people who already own the system are double dipping because they've already put all their faith and dedication into the X box brand.

I got the vanilla PS4 when Sony dropped the price down to $349 in fall of 2015. Gave that system away to a nephew who really wanted it for Bloodborne and Uncharted games.

Bought the Pro this past January and have no regrets at all. And have no intentions on owning another console. Especially, one that is in many ways REDUNDANT. If I had to choose another secondary console, that would be The Switch. I believe the PS4 Pro is more than enough for me, and I'd rather just focus on one platform, invest fully into it's ecosystem and get the most out of it. That to me, is appreciating the value the system provides for me.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Xbox at all. I was a GC/OG XBOX gamer back in generation 6. But then I moved on the Playstation because I see more value in Sony's platform more:

No. I wouldn't sell or trade in my PS4 for Xbawk. I wouldn't want to miss God of War , Yakuza games , Detroit Become Human , Spider-man , Days Gone , Ghost of Tshushima , TLoU Part II , Death Stranding , etc..

Best graphics on multiplats on consoles is nice , but not needed obviously - PS1 , PS2 , PS3 are examples. I didn't buy the PS4 because it was better hardware than Xbone. I picked it because it was very likely to be the best for me in the long run.

I do look out for a seconday console to add , but neither one is very compelling yet. I might have actually picked up a crappy Wii U by now if Nintendo hadn't killed its future. But they hit the reset button after they got knocked the f out. The library is going to take time to build up. And I'm swamped with games to play on PS4 as well. I can't keep up.

Also , the PS5 could be here in 2 years with gen 9 EXCLUSIVE games! That seems like a better investment than Xbone X right now. Xbone X seems like a short-sighted endeavor.

A bunch of games have more than resolution. Alot of graphical increasement. Yet Sony fanboys rather stay blind playing games with hardly any gameplay, watching all those beautiful cutscenes.

I see no reason to. I primarily play JRPG's so I'm good with PS4/PS Vita. Next purchase is a Switch. After that I'm good lol
