Anyone remember how STUPID the name 360 is?

I understand they didn't want Xbox2 to sound weaker than PS3.. But really? 360? The message isn't even clear, they gave some crazy reason why it's called 360. So dumb. I would have liked it better if they called it the Y Box. Or Z Box. Even BetterBox is easier to hear.

Seems like a fine name to me. Sounds like your jst being picky, or have hit the bottom of the barrell on reasonable "problems" with the system.

microsoft called it the 360 because it puts gamers in the center of entertainment and that it revolves around you. that's what i remember them saying back in 2005

Sounded fine to me. I know the name did raise a few eyebrows when it was first announced, but not nearly as many when Nintendo announced the name wii.

All video game-related names sounds weird when you first hear them. Eventually no one is going to care and just say them as part of their language.

Why not the XBOX Xenos or something like that?

The system is actually is called the "bo". MS just added the x's on the fit in with all the really cool people who decorate their gamertags with X's. Because of the, it appears the name is "xbox", but it really should be pronounced X-bo-X
