This looked really good! This franchise is really starting to get into a groove. Getting better and better each time. Thoughts, SW? Are you hyped for Fire Emblem Engage?

@SolidGame_basic: going to be a bit cautious on it. I didn't really like 3 houses all that much, but this looks like a different approach.

Three Houses crossed my mind as well. it had great gameplay, but poorly implemented social mechanics. Engage is looking more like the Fire Emblem we want.. I hope lol.
I was falling out of my chair at first... then I saw that it is taking some between battle mechanics from 3 houses and it tempered my excitement a bit.
That said I love the series, and FE games always have great tactics turnbased gameplay. Count me in for this!
Definitely! I love the Fire Emblem series. I wasn't expecting another FE for a while; it was a pleasant surprise.
I'm excited. Fire Emblem is becoming one of my favorite Nintendo series.
The one on the GameCube is still my favorite.
It seems that the character designs in Engage are different from the ones found in Three Houses, as they look like something found in a typical anime series. However, the character designs in Three Houses are something I can find in most manga titles.
Seeing the protagonist appearing with both red and blue hair and eyes is a great departure from previous protagonists (Avatar or named characters), the fact that he is a Divine Dragon and not a human being makes some sense even though I do not like the weird character designs of most JRPGs since the PS2/Xbox/GameCube era.
Last thing: I wonder whether Engage is copying some aspects of the mobile spin-off Fire Emblem Heroes, such as having characters from previous Fire Emblem games, and it would be interesting what characters will make an apperance even though I expect the "popular" ones like Roy and Ike to appear.
Joycon hairstyles?
Is Fire Emblem following the otherworldiness (i.e. weirdness) of modern JRPGs? I am really put off with the weird character designs as I like designs grounded on reality and practicality.
