FFIX and Wasteland 2.

Wasteland 2 is kind of buggy though.

On PC I recently played Ys II, and now I'm a few hours into Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure.

I've been loving older/smaller/indie games lately.

I loved Lords of Shadow, not done with the sequel yet, I intend to finish that soon I was just waiting to see if it might come to XOne BC soon so I wouldn't have to bother with the 360, but I might soon stop waiting because I just want to finish it. I liked it but got distracted with real life stuff at the time and then got distracted with new console releases and the sequel just stayed in my backlog.

I just beat Pokemon red in preparation for Sun/Moon. Classic is a broad term, but i am about to start Skyrim again, which i'd consider to be a modern day classic. I've got plenty of actual classics on my backlog though. Virtual console and PS Store here i come.

I recently finished TimeSplitters 2, Terranigma, Crash Team Racing, and Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 FES, all of them were fantastic.

I started playing Prince of Persia Warrior Within but I despise the game so far so I'm going to play through Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix and Dark Souls instead.

Resident Evil 4 on PS4. That is definitely old and a classic. Mass Effect 2 as well, which is amazing.

Playing a bit of Demon's Souls and Majora's Mask here and there, but a lot of that will go on the backburner with Pokemon Sun and Final Fantasy XV coming up.

Well yesterday I played about half of Sonic 3 & Knuckles (I may do a full playthrough today), but the main old game that I've been playing lately is DoDonPachi Resurrection. I'd also like to finish up Mega Man ZX: Advent, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, and Super Castlevania 4 by the end of the year if possible.

Is it sad that retro gaming becomes so much better than current gaming? I'm playing new games less and less.

So far on NES Classic Edition I've played Donkey Kong, Excitebike, Kirby's Adventure, and Castlevania!

I also decided to start working through some of Megaman X Collection- got it for GC at a good price back in the summer. I'm almost done the 1st, and want to play the 2nd and 3rd as well before X-Mas.

Everything else is 3DS and Xbox One

How much did you pay for the GC Mega Man X Collection? The lowest price I've been able to find is $60 online. I own Mega Man X and want to play X2 and X3 but those cartridges are too damn expensive.

I found a Craigslist posting back in the summer of a bunch of games- I paid $120 for Pokemon Soul Silver, Super Mario Sunshine, Star Fox Assault, Pokemon Colosseum with the Bonus Disc, MegaMan Anniversary, MegMan X Collection, and a couple other games. Thought it was a great deal, and it really filled out my Gamecube collection.

That´s kinda where I stand,I barely have any interest in new releases these days aside from a select few and been mostly playing older stuff, either replaying games but mostly playing through stuff I never played back in the day,PC and console.

Been playing a bunch of Xenosaga recently.

Third person shooters where you enter a room with a uzi in both hands and time slows down... God, I love the Max Payne games so much.

But there is only so many times I can replay them xD

I have been recently playing pixel art point and click adventures I got from Humble Bundle: Kathy Rain and Technobabylon. And I must say it's the most fun I had in recent months. These game gave so much better narrative compared to recent AAA releases. Technobabylon must be the most advanced and entertaining cyberpunk universe I have ever played. After a while playing you stop noticing pixelate graphics but game play and story put to shame many big budget games. More often and often I find myself enjoying indie games much more than multiplats.

It's crazy how many modes Cave packed in it. Now only if they could put up DoDonPachi Saidaioujou and Mushihimesama Futari on Steam too. :D

Yeah, I'd definitely agree with that take on Advent. I think it's better structured, but ZX was a more satisfying experience.

Playing through the DMC HD Collection at the moment. I'm nearing the end of the first game and it's one of the most frustrating things ever. That's because, from a mechanics stand point, the combat has barely aged a day and is right in line with the quality of Kamiya's titles he would do after that (Viewtiful Joe, Okami (although that's way less difficult than his other games), Bayonetta). But the motherfucking camera is the worst thing ever. I don't mean to sound like "that guy," but it feels like when I die at least half the time it's because I misjudged something because the camera angle shifted suddenly or does not afford a good view of the action. The combat is still great, it's just a shame that Kamiya was required to put the awful fixed camera angles in there.

Those are like new games. The 'pixelate' is intentional. It's just made with this old AGS engine, which sadly blurs the pixel definition quite abit to give it that 90's 'authenticity', which I'm not sure I like. Shit like Shovel Knight, FEZ, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery, Dungeon of the Endless, Hyper Light Drifter and from what I've seen Owlboy, looks defined and crisp while still evoking a nostalgic vintage look.

But I finished Technobabylon a few months ago and I enjoyed it alot, too. While there's a few moments that has one element of a grander to feel a little contrived (Like throwing food at a camera). The adventuring is just a whole lot more polished and thought out compared to other Wadjet Eye games. And I liked how well it subverts its Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk setting into its puzzle designs, which is something I felt that Gemini Rue didnt do enough of.

The story is one of Wadjet Eyes' more predictable ones, but I'm a sucker for a cyberpunk setting. I found the one presented in Technobabylon's to be quite compelling as a whole. It's nice to not have another evil sentient AI supercomputer, for once. And it develops some nuanced commentary around it through the games' strong characters and developing conflicts without it coming across as being preachy.

I recommend checking Craigslist and Facebook Yardsale a couple times everyday if you're into collecting or you're looking for something! Over the past 3 or 4 years since I've started:

I got an Xbox One for $200, less than a year after the system came out.

The games score I mentioned above

A PS3 slim bundle with The Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption, and a couple other decent games for $80.

All the Resident Evil games on Gamecube for $70

A Sega Dreamcast with a couple games for $40

N64 w/ 4 controllers Goldeneye and Super Mario 64 for $50

and also just missed out on 2 bundles

One was N64 bundle with 2 controllers, Zeldas, Smash Bros, Starfox, and other games for $80.

Another was OG Xbox with Morrowind, Fable, and all all the Star Wars and Halo games for $40.

So yeah I'd recommend keeping an eye out haha.
