And people thought 360 was King of RPG's

Valkyria Chronicles is hands down my favorite RPG of this entire generation so far. That said, I'm enjoying Oblivion with Guns: GOTY Edition for PS3. I recently got it for $39.99 from Target. I wouldn't have paid $60 for the original game without the DLC packed in, but I couldn't resist at that price.

Pretty much the only good released exclusive rpg for the ps3 is demon souls which is good, but it's only 1 game. The 360 has Mass Effect, Fable II, and Tales of Vespera as good rpgs. I think Mass Effect is probably about as good as Demon Souls, and the other 2 are enough to keep you busy.jrhawk42

And I hate to do this to justify my opinion but...

Demon's Souls 9.0 >>> Mass Effect 8.5 (:P we talking about the 360 version right???)

Also Demon's Souls 9.0 >>> all the other games you mentioned = not as good as Demon's Souls **System wars Rules**

But regardless of the score Demon's Souls IS better than all those other RPGs you mentioned it's too bad you haven't hada chance to play it.

In style and excecution, yes you're right.

The point is tho that it still IS a JRPG created by and from an entirely japanese game studio. They've basically done to the "wrpg style of RPG" that they've done to the cell phone and cars that were first created here in the US...created the better version. When people compaire DS to Oblivion I puke becuse the comparison is such a put down in relationship to whatDS it's not even funny.

BioWare is better then Square Enix. Most of Square Enix games are too similiar and settings are boring and the mechanics repeated throughout.

I don't think you should expect people to list Japanese only games in a western forum, but that's just me. Although I did miss Disgaea 3, and Cross Edge doesn't seem to be reviewed as of now.

It's about the same as people who play west only games outside of the west, anyways I don't play "weird sex games", they contain sex but they aren't H-Games (games that are made pretty much for the sex scenes). The games that I play are eroges, it's like mixing adventure games and manga together, there are sex scenes but they take place next to the 40+ hour story.

It's nice that I'm making a name for myself though. ;)

It's a Tactical RPG.

I have to agree that the PS3 RPG's though fewer, have been much more acclaimed than the 360 RPG's that have usually flopped around here.

Of course, the PS3 is nothing like it's older brother than the PS2 when it came to the quantity and quality of RPG's. It seems that the PS3 has some damn good RPGs and its about damn time as its the one genre I'm still hungry for-- I want more JRPG's dammit! (Dark Cloud 2, Dragon Quest).

DS and PS2 are best when it comes to RPG's IMO.

This generation, I still Feel that the Xbox 360 is superior when it comes to RPG's.

So far, I have enjoyed Xbox 360's RPG's much more than the PS3's.

Valkyria Chronicles was very nice but it did not appeal to me as i am not a fan of tactical RPG's.

Demon's Souls was so infuriating that it degraded the experience for me but none the less a great game.

Dragon Age is equal in my eyes for the PS3 and 360but I'll still get it on PC.
