Would it be naughty of me to say I bought all three of those games and didn't like any of them very much?. Then I'm a naughty boy. I thought Super Mario3, Super Mario world and Yoshi Island were perfect games, then along came 3-D Mario and I just didn't get it I guess. And believe me I really wanted to like these games.
now it's pretty much established that sunshine isn't even near the same league as galaxy and 64.
Between galaxy and 64...for it's time 64 had the greater impact on the industry...but when you take off the nostalgia glasses Galaxy comes off as the all around better game.
Super Mario 64 for sure. It definitely has the best memories, and the most gameplay... Super Mario 64 is one of those timeless games that feel you could never get bored with, being able to play it for years.
Galaxy was great, but honestly, I feel I had a funner time with Sunshine. Sunshine was homed inside my Gamecube for months, maybe the entire year, and it was all fun playing it while it lasted. Galaxy, I played it for a week, then stopped... Not bad or anything, I just have had the least amount of replay value over Super Mario Galaxy.
I'd say 64. Sunshine was too repetitive, and the enviroments where too small in Galaxy. However, if they would of made Galaxy with larger enviroments then that would be the best game evaa.
sm64 is my favourite game ever...even taking the nostalgic glasses off, its still a work of a genius..an unparllaled one... its quite obvious that for the first 3d plattformer nintendo went for a big bang...smg is a good sequel but a bit too linear and not as amazing as sm64...but sure it was way better than the almost lame game called sms...

Why comment on how three games compare to each other when you've only played one of them?...
Why? Well, I hear Sunshine isn't all that great compared to the others. And I would like to play SMG very much, I'm sure it's equally as good as 64.
Sunshine is amazing. It's just gets a bum rap because it isn't quite as good as every other stellar Mario game.
sm64 is one of the best games ever made and i keep going back to play it every once in a while.
smg was forgettable i have to admit. the gameplay was fun but the setting and atmosphere was forgettable. maybe its nostalgia that makes sm64 better but i felt almost nothing playing smg.
64 was amazing, Sunshine was decent, and Galaxy was just plan awful. Terrible level design, horrible camera, bland levels, small map, and pretty bad graphics (ie. very blocky) make Galaxy one of the worst games I have ever played. I actually sold my Wii after it because if this is considered to be the best game Nintendo can offer then the Wii sucks.
Super Mario 64.Oddly enough,I don't even own Super Mario Galaxy yet,but I've played a fair chunk of it,and was fairly impressed.And Sunshine...shouldn't even deserve a mention.
