2 Teens + One 7 Year Old = Mortal Kombat?

In Jamestown, Colorado, two teens have been charged with killing a 7-year-old girl by beating her with imitations of moves from the Mortal Kombat video games, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Hate to break it to you, but I have a kid. I'm sorry if I don't shed a tear for some complete stranger I don't even know. Yes it's tragic, but kids die worse deaths than this everyday and I don't see people crying over them.

I'm 33 years old and I have seen a lot of sad pethetic things happen in the world over those years. So this really doesn't come as a shock to me. The two responsible should be punished for their crimes, but I'm not going to feel bad for some little girl I don't even know. Yes it's sad that it happened, but getting all bent out of shape over it isn't going to change the fact. Punish the people responsible and move on.

I was being sarcastic. I just couldn't help but laugh when I saw that comment. I do feel sorry for the little girl, do not get me wrong. I really hope the best for the family, and hope that the two teenagers get a second chance on life, So I "technically" am not disgusting, just not a pessimist.

I'm not upset about this to the point that it's affecting my mood right now or anything, I read these stories all the time and have seen and heard of much worse, I just find it utterly disgusting when all the teenage boys crawl out of the woodworks to fire off some unfunny, inappropriate joke just to be offensive because offensive is funny to teenagers, especially priveleged teenagers who don't have to worry about anyone or anything undesirable invading the coccoon their parents have built for them.

I saw a teenage boy get beaten to death by other teenage boys, and it wasn't funny at all. It makes you hate humanity.

People are underestimating what it takes to beat someone to death, too. It's not like they were just horsing around and went a bit too far. To beat someone to death, even a 7 yo girl, you need to inflict serioue bodily harm upon them. You are fully aware of what you're doing. It's not an accident. The death may have been, but the beating wasn't.

I bet if there was a video of this circulating a lot of opinions would be changed.
