he should not, could get hurt and end his career which could lead to him never playing a game in the pros go top while you can.

As much as I like to see kids stay in school, if I were in his place I’d go for the money ASAP.

Add Ray Allen to the list of those who spoke too soon. I would be very surprised if after everything is said and done Durant is still playing in the NCAA next season. And don't worry about us Celtics fans, we'll be doing just fine after we draft Greg Oden

that's what they all say..flyer4057

Exactly! They all say it to give their fans hope. I'm not saying he will go to the NBA but, it's more than likely that that is where he will end up. Along with Oden who also says he will probably stay in school. Not many guys can really pass up the chance to make so much money so quickly.

Why srry for the Celtics? Celtics want Oden more than Durant. Plus, Celts have Pierce at SF.

doc rivers has openly said if he could choose right now, he would take Oden over Durant. Being a Celtics fan and knowing our luck, I still haven't ruled out the chance of both of them staying in school and me being pissed.

You can be sure the Celtics organization would jump for joy with either of the top two picks if both kids declare. Ainge is a smart GM and would take Oden #1 because he's a defensive center and that's what the team needs most, but you can bet he's in love with Durant's game/potential as much as the rest of us are. And here's a quote from Kevin himself on the issue, from an ESPN chat two days ago: "Daniel (San Antonio): When will you make your decision on whether or not you'll come back next year? SportsNation Kevin Durant: I'll make my decision at the end of the year when we finish all our games. I'll sit down with my coaches and family and make my decision. I know it will be a hard decision." I blame RealGM for making a headline out of Augustin's quote, which he was quick to downplay as soon as he made it anyway.

Durant should stay and bulk up, he's to skinny. I remember when Donyelle Marshall was at UCONN and was the same type of player as Durant and when he made the jump to the NBA he was getting beat up.

Durant is probably not going to stay. He's already the best player in college. I don't see him benefitting from playing at the college level. He's ready for the pros

if both are in the draft the celtics will draft oden

however, if the celtics dont have a chance to get either then they will trade the pick for kevin garnett or another veteran

So when did the Celts get the first pick? I know they will get plenty of LOTTERY balls but that's about it. It doesn't guarantee they will get the first pick. I also think that if they do get the pick they take Oden because he is the smart/safe pick. I think Durant will be killer in the NBA and I would personally pick him first but it's usually too hard for NBA teams to pass up a 7 footer with skills especially when they don't have that already!
