I'd have to go with either the Cowboys or the Yankees. It seems like people who know nothing about football will like the Cowboys just because of how popular they were in the 90s, but go to any state and it seems like you will see more Yankee hats than their own local baseball team. What do you think?

Cowboys and Yankees. Yankees because they win alot, attracts a lot of frontrunners. Also the Celtics and Patriots. Steelers might be 3rd in the NFL.

I'd throw in the Cowboys for football and say Lakers for basketball. Pretty soon it's going to be the Heat for basketball though.

around here it's usually the team that is unexpectedly winning games. Lots of people jumped on the Texans bangwagon when the Cowboys were struggling but I havent heard from them since DAL beat HOU last week. err two weeks ago

Funny how people say "Miami Heat"... yes, they've gained a lot of bandwagon fans, but they're also going to accumulate a LOT of haters, especially if no one puts a leash and muzzle on Lebron's ego in the near future. His complete lack of awareness of, well, anything, is already rubbing people the wrong way.

I hate how people look down on real fans of a team just because they have bandwagon fans too. You don't gain bandwagon fans by sucking.

A blog I follow recently had people submit entries to a list of "You know you're a Laker fan when..." The by far most popular entry was "...when fans of other teams are genuinely surprised when they discover that you actually care about your team and the sport." :P

SooYoung from Girls Generation. I think for every 1 Laker fan there are 5 haters. For every 1 Raider fan there are 20 haters and for every cowboy fan there are 50 haters. The yankees win, for every 1 fan they get 1000 haters and I am one of them.

They couldn't sell out games before Shaq came, they couldn't sell out games after he left. They couldn't sell out games before Lebron came, and they wont after he leaves. The Heat's fanbase has to be the most bandwagon I've ever seen. It's so rare to find TRUE Heat fans.

Well, why wouldn't you like either of those teams if you know nothing about the either sport. It's a good starting point.

I'd have to go with either the Cowboys or the Yankees. It seems like people who know nothing about football will like the Cowboys just because of how popular they were in the 90s, but go to any state and it seems like you will see more Yankee hats than their own local baseball team. I guess people in Florida just have too many options to be loyal to one team. Florida Gators, Florida State, Tampa Bay Bucs, Tampa Bay Rays, Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, Jacksonville Jags, Miami Dolphins, University of Miami. I mean good lord! That is a lot of teams to cheer for in one state. No wonder people are flip flopping all the time.

Maybe I don't see it because I'm in the midwest, but I didn't think that so many people outside of Dallas would jump on the Cowboys bandwagon in recent years. I just don't think many people like them right now. They're not a very likable team IMO. Not like in the 90's when they were winning titles and half the people I knew in ILLINOIS were all wearing Cowboys jerseys.

49ers, Raiders, Chargers, Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Giants, Athletics, Kings, Ducks, UCLA, USC, Lakers, Clippers, Sac Kings, Warriors...etc etc etc. And yet Cali fans are WAY more loyal with more teams.

Makes it more interesting for sure. That Raider win over the Chargers wouldnt have been as sweet if I didnt hate the Chargers.

I hate that too because I have been a heat fan since Wade was drafted. (Check my name) and now that the one I hate is there (aka LBJ) i have to root for him too. and now when i tell people i like em they think im a bandwaggoner
