Great game for the Rangers, defiantly needed this one. Nice job putting last night behiend them. But they could be up 2-0 and with Lee on Monday, could be on their way to a sweep:evil:

Great pitching match-up tonight. Lee vs Pettitte. I think Lee will shut down like the Yankees like last years World Series. He went 2-0 with a 2.81 ERA and a CG, 5 ER and 3 walks against the Yankees last postseason. If they win, I could also see them beating Burnett to go up 3-1 tomorrow.

Yes it does matter *facepalm* then he comes out tomorrow in a 1 run game and blows it? Say it doesn't matter............it's 8 freakin runs you have a million guys in the pen. Nolan should have moved those fans to better seats
I watch a lot of postseason baseball, and I think it's the right move to get him in there. Although, didn't he come in Saturday when they were up 5? I know you want to give the kid expereince and he's looked pretty good, but 2 straight games where they were non save situations? I agree, what if try DO need him tomorrow and/or the day after that in an actual pressure situation? Might be tired. He didn't throw a lot of pitches though so that's good. He's just a kid though, not a vet like Rivera or Lidge.
Trust me i have seen it, Yankees-Dodgers anyone? Sunday game, Broxton had pitched or warmed up in 5 straight days and i heard he threw close to 100 pitches and worse yet Torre left him in there for the meltdown.

Unless the manager feels he has a solid backup closer, but we already saw what happened in Game 1 and people were questioning his decisions, he pulls that one guy Day with a 2ERA after giving up an unearned hit.
