Gotta say, I kinda like any of the top 4 eastern teams to beat whoever comes out of the West.

If there was ever a year the Heat weren't gonna win it all, it would be this year. Bulls, Pacers, and Nets are scary good. If I'm the Heat I sleepwalk through the season, take the #2 seed on sheer talent, and just let Wade and Oden stay healthy and get marginal playing time to be fresh for the playoffs. A healthy Wade/Oden is more important than home court in my opinion. If Oden can stay healthy and somewhat limit Hibbert/Noah/Boozer/Lopez than the Heat's chances are much better. That's a HUGE if though. I mean they've done it in the past with no real big man, but the other teams have improved. They aren't the same teams.

Still, I learned my lesson and will never question the Heat's greatness. I still think they'll win it all, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they were bounced before reaching the Finals.

I think Miami doesn't make it out of the East this year. The past two years they've had to come from behind 4 times just to make it to the finals and their competition should be much tougher plus D Wade's health is a big question mark. I think Nets or Pacers will beat them.

In the West Houston, Clips, Golden State all have potential but are still question marks to me. I think the Thunder's window may have closed with the Harden trade, and now they don't even have K Mart. Have to see how Denver responds to losing George Karl and Iguadala. The Grizzlies will be great probably but I can't see them beating the Spurs. I think the Spurs have a pretty easy road to the one seed and if healthy have a great chance to make it back to the finals.

The Mavs taking out the Heat in 11 was so sweet. Lebrony tears are priceless.

I say Pacers over Spurs for it all.

  • MVP: LeBron
  • 6th Man Award:Jamal Crawford
  • DOY: Dwight Howard
  • Most Improved Player (hate this award... too vague): Austin Rivers (no where to go but up? if he turns out to be average this year that's a drastic improvement over being the worst player in the history of the NBA)
  • ROY: Victor Oladipo
  • Coach OY: Kevin McHale
  • Executive of the year: Morey
