I was thinking that at home. I think the reason why Aiai is in the game is because somehow he got Chaos Controlled to Sonic's world and now must win Eggman's tournament to get the Chaos Emerald and Chaos control himself back to his world.
I don't know I have a feeling unlockable characters well also have big roles. I think the reason Shadow is in the tourtament is because Sonic called him a chicken and now to prove his honor he must beat Sonic in the tournament.Â
Don't y'all find it suspicious that the boards were created by Robotnik Inc.? I'm sure they're like implaneted with a tracking device or something. Who knows? Maybe, Tails will create new boards for everyone. Maybe he created Amy's board.
Here's what I think: I'm guessing that Sonic and Jet will brew a big rivalry with each other, Jet taking it worse than Sonic. Amy is in the race because it's another chance to get close to Sonic. Near the end of the story, Tails, Wave and Eggman will work on something together, maybe new extreme gear. Shadow's only in the race to obtain the Chaos Emerald, so he can gain more power or something... I just hope there's no 'Super Sonic ending.' Y'know, where Sonic gets all 7 Chaos Emeralds and saves the world. I have nothing against it, but it's just getting old! It's been in, like, over 5 games! Enough already!
Mabye Eggman gave up on world domination by force so now he's trying to take over the world through monopolizing like the way Wal-Mart is going to conquer the universe someday :lol:

Mabye the final race is a race against the clock to stop some great monster from destroying the world. The monster was unleashed whn Jet tried to get the great power of the Babylons, only to find out that it was this horrible demonic thing that coulldn't be controlled. So now, Sonic and co. has to go fix what Jet screwed up.
I still think that it's Eggman after the demonic monster thing and he's merely using Jet and the Rogues to locate the hidden city. So Sonic and co have to clean up Eggman's mess. As usual. Actually I'd like to see the Rogues skip out on the cleanup because there aren't enough actually bad characters in the franchise. If they're really a cutthroat band of thieves, they'll snatch the loot and run during the confusion.
