Since Jason had an atrocious time with Sonic up until Unleashed, and everyone thought Ryan was Sonic's only true voice, I'm happy to see the support Roger is getting. I honestly think Roger is the true successor to Ryan.
Yeah after Colors everyone seemed to warm up to Roger pretty quickly. Though not being associated with one of the most hated anime dubbing companies (according to anime fans) doesn't hurt. But it's also the fact that personally I think he works for Sonic. Sonic sounds like a hyper, teenager which he is. This also led to a slight personality shift making him more cocky and arrogant and inevitably giving Sonic a bit more depth.
Though I think more people are happy that Tails sounds like a boy now.
I should look and see what old Jason Griffith hater extrodinare, Spax thinks about the new voice because those who recall he had a huge "anti-4Kids/Jason Griffith campaign" to the point of insanity.

Not nearly as bad as the anti-Griffith camp who petitioned Nintendo to use Ryan Drummond for Super Smash Bros.Brawl because it wasn't Sega's project but Nintendo's. It didn't work of course but what was more funny was the fact that there was next to no voice acting in SSBB though I think Nintendo tired to make it up to that camp by making the iconic ring sound when Sonic was selected instead of him saying a cheezy line like Ike or Pit did.
