I'm not a fan of sport sims; I prefer arcadey sport games. NFL Blitz being my favorite.

All the Tony Hawks pro Skater games on PlayStation. Now those were really fun sport games.

NHL 94 for Sega Genesis & the Tony Hawk games on PS1.

Probably either NBA Jam, or Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.

I also like most recent NHL games quite a bit.

I'll just toss this out there for the hockey fans, not really a sports game fan but this is one of the ones I remember being amazing.

Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey on the Nintendo 64.

If we go with a fake sport, DeathRow on the original Xbox.

i always had a lot of fun with either Mutant League Football or Super Techmo Bowl. Mutant Football League was the craziest funniest games.

i would say the best would be either Mike Tysons Punch Out (for the NES) or Mario Golf (gamecube mario golf).

If wrestling counts as a sport than it is wwf no mercy for n64. If we are counting boxing it has to be super punch out, but if we are talking about conventional sports than either blades of steel for nes or nba jam

In the 90s it was NFL Football 94 with Joe Montana, Coolyfetts entire family played it, not just his siblings, but his distant cousins also played and they also had Genesis like Coolyfetts family. NBA Jam would be a close 2nd.

Probably NHL 11', MVP 2004 and MLB the Show 2007 for the PSP. That was a good portable psp baseball game.

I only play arcade sports games so the Mario ones, Tony Hawk, SSX, 1080 Snowboarding.

@kljohns2 Base Wars is one of the games I plan to pick up for NES, looks cool.

@Eikichi-Onizuka: yeah it is an interesting take on baseball. Definitely "arcadey" but a blast to play

I'll give a special mention to Olympic Soccer on Sega Saturn, but my all-time favourite sport game would be Shane Warne Cricket '99 (aka Brian Lara Cricket '99 outside of Australia). Me and a few mates sank hours into that one.

Probably Sensible World of Soccer on the Amiga,pretty sure I´ve played hundreds of hours between solo and multiplayer with friends.
