No, please stop, it is freedom of speech. It is codified in the Charter. But that doesn't mean the right is absolute and just like in the US every right has reasonable limits attached to it. If you yell "FIRE!" or something like that in a movie theatre, for example, that "hurts people's feelings", you will get a lot more than a fine.
Can you please provide proof of "Many Canadians move to America for free expression?" I've lived here for almost 3 decades and have never heard of anyone doing that. Have you ever been here or left the US?
Yelling fire in a movie theater isn't a free-speech issue but a safety issue and a property rights issue. Theaters are allowed to throw people out who are noisy. That's their right. You'll get thrown out of the theater, but you're not going to get fined by the government for it, nor are you going to get fined thousands of dollars for simply hurting someone's feelings.
So yea, it's not free speech. You can call your limited speech "free speech", but it's not. If you want to enjoy real free speech, you must come to the USA. Sorry but that's how it is dude. Just because you give something a name like "free speech" doesn't mean it lives up to it.
Can you please provide proof of "Many Canadians move to America for free expression?"
Do your own research, lazy. Better yet, try meeting more people. I'm not going to write an essay on every single Canadian I've met for you. But I'll give you two prominent ones in the public: Gavin McInnes and Steven Crowder. These people couldn't say what they say or do what they do if they lived in Canada. They had to move to the USA. People from all around the world move to America for our freedoms. Surprised that never occurred to you.

Freedom of Speech, right.
You just got to love it. Trump wanted the media he loathes to run an ad for his first 100 days praising his glory while also predictably calling them "FAKE NEWS". Shocker of the century, they don't run it, and what does the Trump team say in response? Yup, they actually attempt to frame it as a constitutional issue and mention the First Amendment:
Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of the President and his consultant said in a press release: “Apparently, the mainstream media are champions of the First Amendment only when it serves their own political views."
Faced with an ad that doesn't fit their biased narrative, CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC have now all chosen to block our ad. This is an unprecedented act of censorship in America that should concern every freedom-loving citizen."
Seriously? It is censorship sure, but that has nothing to do with freedom of speech or our rights as Americans whatsoever.....the media are privately owned entities, they are under no obligation to run propaganda or anything they don't wish to, much less when it's attacking their integrity. Did Trump honestly think those attacked would broadcast this? How stupid and clueless can he possibly be?
Ouch.
I'm sorry dude but you come across as extremely clueless here. Lara Trump didn't say the networks were legally obligated to run the ads due to our constitutional amendment. Yet your posts is written as if she said just said. What she said is that the media claims to be champions of the first amendment. But due to this censorship, they aren't living up to their claim. And free speech is a principle that is exemplified in America. It's not simply a constitutional right, it's a principle upon which our country operates. It doesn't guarantee your ad air-time but it certainly does mean people here typically allow other people to express their views. It's what America is about. The MSM can't claim to be balanced, supporting multiple viewpoints, or supporting of free speech if they must strictly filter those opposing viewpoints to the point where they never reach the air.
I know it's hard to read past headlines and to avoid displaying the temperament of a 14-year-old girl (I know it's difficult with liberal views and such), but it wouldn't hurt to read the article so save yourself some embarrassment.
