Would you have bought a PS3 if there was no MGS4 and Uncharted

I would've gotten it anyway. When I bought it, I had no interest in these 2. But they're the craziest games I've ever played.

Well lets see there are 23 million? ps3s sold and neither MGS4 or Uncharted has sold 4 million so i think the majority of ps3 owners dont care about them. I have neither.

Well the MGS4 bundle sure helped but I think I bought it more for BC(last PS3 with it) than the game. I actually haven't finished the game as I haven't done with many but I think the worst part are the cutscenes and the horrible loading times for some of the gameplay. Now Uncharted on the other hand had no influence when I first purchased the stystem but after picking it up for $20 it is my favorite PS3 game to date.

Yes. I own and love both games though. I would buy a PS3 just for MLB: The Show 09. It's the best baseball game I have ever played.

Yes. Although my console was bundled with MGSIV, I actually didn't buy the system for that game.

Uh yeah. When I bought my PS3 I hadn't even heard of Uncharted and I wasn't a fan of MGS at all. I still don't have those games and enjoy my PS3 very much.

yep. I haven't even bought uncharted yet and i thought MGS4 was just okay.

Nope I got it for the reliability of the console, LBP and MLB 09 : The show. Plus ive always like the Dualshock controller fits well into my hands.

MGS4 was good, but it wasn't GOTY worthy. Uncharted was amazing, but I would of boughten a PS3 just because it won't break on me.

IMO both sucks, i tried both, did not like it at all, i like weird games anyway, don't like Resistance, or Killzone, or MGS, or LBP, or RE5, or GTA4, or Assassin's Creed...

Don't know why... i don't ussualy like big commercial games, i got a bunch of games and all i play is Pixeljunk Monster :P

Yeah for sure. Gran Turismo5and FFXIII were 2/3 of the games i really wanted for the console (MGS4 being the third and FF still being exclusive at the time).

Non-game wise there were a few reasons.

Blu-ray won the format war by the time i picked one up, i never wanted to pay for online gaming, and almost all my friends that play video games were getting one eventually or already had it.

Yes I would've still bought it, exclusives like Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Quantum were the reason I bought mine.

i got my ps3 when it first came out (i have the 60gb model) and i didnt play it until just 2008 when i played gtaIV. but im a huge sony fanboy since the ps1 so yea i would have. i love mgs4 its one of the best games ever, and i dont say that often.

I would've anyway. I don't buy a console just for a few games, but for a massive array of games. Also, I think that the PS3 looks pretty good as well.

Those aren't even my favorite games.. i like resistance fall of man the most and i basically bought a ps3 for it but it just so happened that i have 9 exclusives now that i love.

I bought PS3 just for MGS4. Uncharted came as a nice bonus.

Yes, but If it didn't have a blu ray drive, I wouldn't have gotten it, considering the price forthe game console. Well, have any of you play games on a projection screen? A whole lot better playing on a 150 inch HD projection than playing on a 20"inch computer monitor or even a "50 inchLCD.

I am not sure why I bought a PS3, maybe it was so I could play games with my brother and nephew.

The only game I really play on it is Oblivion or Lair. I have played resistance and resistance 2. Killzone looks interesting.

I have never been a big fan of MGS.

I might also be the only person who likes lair........
