Yea, I dont have a wireless router and will probably not get one for a while. I'd rather not spend all that money when I could get this for 20 some bucks.

This may sound akward, but i bought it for my psp,and i hooked it up b/c it says that it works with every internet connection. i searched for it with my psp, and i got a 100% connection strenth, but when i tried to hook up, it couldnt gather the IP address. I also have dial-up, but it seemed that it would work, it just couldnt get the IP address

DiD you try manually putting in the IP address?

Anyway, you can set up X-link through the WIFI max, so another bonus. If you can't get a true router, go for it.

Dial up will not work with these things I'm pretty sure. You need a connection that will allow a NAT IP address to be given from your computer to whatever device is connecting to the net. Since dial up is horribly slow to begin with, I wouldn't imagine NAT being an allowed service, therefore you get no IP assignment.

I've often thought of getting one of these so I could have internet radio at work, seems like the majority vote is that they are good little gadgets.

Cable is fine, they let you use NAT since you have a ton of bandwidth.
