Don't know why people are so anxious to change it, its just a name, no matter how dumb it may it be. Sony probably doesn't allow you to change it because people would be people changing their name every 2 weeks. MS charging on the 360 is suppose to be a deterrent to that, would you really pay to change a inconsequential name.
you can change your name on XBl, but you have to pay for it. on PSN, you can easily make a new acct, but all trophies wont transfer over to new account.

It's probably to do with the confusion that would follow. Imagine if everyone you knew (in reality) changed their names every week. One week John is John, the next he is Douglas, the next he is Brunhilda. It'd get kinda confusing. Not to mention it would probably be a big hassle with the officials. They would always be having to change documents and records and such. Now just put that into PSN form. In saying that, I would like to change mine.
Not positive. But I'd like to know why their trophy support is so extravagantly and ludicrously far behind the 360 achievements for a multitude of titles! It's appalling.
sony should start charging for this feature like ms. they would probably make alot$$$$$$ if they did!alot of my friends wanna change there names but dont wanna lose trophys&game saves over it.
Yeah, i wish i could change mane. I see how dumb i was to put my first and last name as my ID. I have a very unique name. ANyway. Ill be online and ill be doing good and stuff and the people just start rippin on me and using my Id which is my name and and it hurts more to be called by your real name than by your username.
